Come to La Paz in January to go after Striped Marlin, because the bite in the winter months is better than almost anywhere else. Wahoo is also on a roll, as well as Mahi Mahi, Snapper, and Bonito.

Febrero

The weather is mild and the fishing conditions are excellent for reeling in Amberjack, Roosterfish, and Snapper nearshore. Don't forget about Striped Marlin, though, who's still the main star offshore.

Marzo

Spring is just around the corner, which means Roosterfish is plentiful. The Snapper bite is also good, and if you’re looking for a strong fighter, go after Amberjack and Striped Marlin further out.

Abril

Come to La Paz to enjoy the beautiful weather and first-class Striped Marlin season. In case you’re not a Billfish aficionado, you can still target monster Roosterfish, Bonito, and Sierra Mackerel closer to shore.

Mayo

Blue and Striped Marlin are the ultimate catch in May, and Snapper, Grouper, and Roosterfish could easily find their way to your hook as well. This is also the best time to catch big Amberjack.

Junio

Mahi Mahi, Snapper, Amberjack, and Sierra Mackerel are just some of the A-listers you can find around La Paz in June. If you’re on the lookout for giant Blue Marlin, this is your month.

Julio

Enjoy the Dorado Shoot Out mid-July and hook monster Mahi Mahi. Black Marlin love the warm waters, and you can see Sailfish, Wahoo, and plenty of other big game creatures in abundance.

Agosto

This is one of the most productive months in La Paz – Marlin, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Snapper, Grouper, Mahi Mahi – all the offshore A-listers are there for the taking, along with even more inshore.

Come September, you'll get the chance to chase Blue Marlin and Sailfish and land your next Billfish trophy. The Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, and Yellowfin Tuna bites are also top notch, so you’re in for a memorable day.

Octubre

Though the weather is cooling down, the bite remains red-hot. There’s a plethora of fish to choose from, so head out and hunt Yellowfin Tuna, Sailfish, Blue Marlin, and Wahoo, along with many smaller creatures.

Noviembre

Sailfish season is at its best, and Mahi Mahi and Yellowfin Tuna are just as active. The Wahoo bite is superb, and you can still find a decent number of Black, Blue, and Striped Marlin around.

Diciembre

Come to La Paz to get away from the cold and stay for the top-notch Tuna fishery. Striped Marlin don’t shy away from the right lure presentation either, and neither do Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, or Snapper.

The trip was fun, fishing was slow but I caught a yellow tail. Fishing was slow for all the boats though. Not the best time of the year. The fish was cooked up by the restaurant right off the dock. Edgar will show you where and get you taken care of. It was some of the best fish I have ever had.

I told Edgar at the dock that my dream fish was a Rooster Fish. He did everything possible to make my dream come true. The first thing I noticed about Edgar is that he runs a tight ship. He keeps it clean and organized at all times. This came in handy when we had two 40+ pound yellowtails on hooks at the same time. Edgar is clearly a pro, not only at finding the fish but making sure they stay on the line. Great with kids too - helped my 13 yo son land multiple fish .

Had a great trip with Freddie as captain. He was in charge at all times and got us on some nice fish. My daughter landed a 20 lb yellowtail (amberjack) any myself a 15 lb Dorado (Mahi mahi) Been eating fried, grilled and ceviche fish for 2 days now....especially delicious when caught yourself!

Edgar was an excellent Captain and guide! Literally the first cast brought in a large bull Mahi Mahi and it was on from there. We did the all inclusive so Edgar took care of everything for us to include dropping our meat off to us the next morning. We even got to eat some of our fresh catch at the dock restaurante when we returned from the trip. Great time!

Don't come to LA Paz during the off season expecting a 6' Mahi Mahi, but if you want to experience a real fishing journey Edgar is your guy! During my experience I caught fish, learned about the wildlife, and had a great time. I will definitely recommend Edgar to any fisherman or women.
