Excellent spot to catch a good quantity of quality fish. If you’re going after one huge trophy I’m not sure this is the spot as we didn’t really see that.

The fishing and whale watching was wonderful, staff was great. We caught plenty of fish and they where cleaned and fileted for us. My only complaint really is that when we booked the trip, it was quoted in Canadian dollars, but when ask to pay it was US dollars so the trip cost us an extra $100.00 we where planning for. I would suggest that you clarify this before leaving on your trip.

Captain knew what he was doing took us exactly where the fish were. 10 mins after casting started catching and was non stop after that. It was like picking flowers out of the water.

Captain Jesus and 1st mate Noel were super knowledgeable and very accommodating. We caught 1 bonito but the they didn't bite the rest of the day. We couldn't ask for a better experience. That's why it's called fishing not catching. I was wearing great polarized shades and El captain was spotting schools of fish by squinting into the sun. Overall 5 stars.

No frills just fishing. Captain and crew were wonderful throughout the 1/2 day trip. We were fortunate that the weather and the fish cooperated, couldn't have asked for a better day. Trolling for Bonita then casting with plugs. Captain recommended la Cabana to cook up our fish. Fresh ceviche and fish tacos were amazing.

Jaciel took great care of us. We had 3 kids and all caught a large skipjack tuna in the first hour, then we saw humback whales and a sea turtle. Despite the kids wanting to end the trip early, Jaciel was incredibly flexible and understanding to make sure everyone had a great time.

Had an amazing half day inshore trip with Captain Jaciel. My wife and I reeled in bonito and a few other species until our arms got tired. Whales and dolphins swimming right around our fishing spots. Crew was hard working and clearly loved fishing. We would book again.

We took our family of 5( 3 kids) out for an afternoon fishing trip. The crew was so kind, helpful and clearly knew what they were doing. We caught quite a few fish and they guided our kids throughout. We could take anything we caught home but decided to only keep one for ceviche later. Punta Mita Is a very laud back town and we loved the ease of hopping on a boat for a few Hours on the water. It’s not fancy but perfect for us!

Took a half day trip and Carlos put us on the fish and we stayed on them all morning. Our arms were getting tired from hauling in bonita. As a bonus we saw two whales and dolphins, in addition to 3 hours of non-stop action. Highly recommend.

Arturo is a skilled Captain. Solid 32’ Boston Whaler with a good ride. We caught over 30 Bonita Tuna, 4 Jacks and a prize 101” Inch/150lb Striped Marlin. Crew worked hard to put us on fish early and as the sea and wind changed we made adjustments. We will charter with them again.

Oh boy…fishing on the Marietas II just keeps getting better! This trip was #5 with Jose and Carlos and the action was awesome. Without another boat in sight the entire time we were fishing, my brother and I boated 15 gorgeous mahi mahi….without a doubt a trip to remember!! Can’t wait for trip #6…thanks guys!!

Another (#4) awesome adventure aboard the Marietas II! These guys know how to find the fish, as between trolling and casting we caught a mixed bag of about 40 Bonita and Skipjack tuna. We also caught 2 Jack crevalle that were both 20lbs plus…”pigs”! Unfortunately a 4ft mahi mahi jumped for the heavens and tossed the lure…but left an indelible memory…..GREAT trip!!

This is not a flashy feel good fishing charter. They are focused and dialed in on fishing. If you are there strictly for catching fish this is the charter for you. If you are looking for a super friendly guide who’s chatty this isn’t for you. They are not cold or rude, they just keep to themselves. Personally really liked it.
