Fishing in New Bern, NC can be as laid-back or challenging as you make it. The city is located right where the Neuse River joins the Trent River. Here, the current slows down and the riverbed becomes one of the widest in the US. All of this makes conditions just right for a variety of fish species to inhabit the river year round. We had a great time! Things started a little slow, but then we were grabbing rods left and right. Captain Brad was jumping, he stayed on top of things well. We lost quite a few, but laded 4 and brought 2 top of slot redfish home for dinner. Great experience!

It was a great day and I was able to spend quality time with two Grandsons 17 and 21 years old. We had a great time. Bob was so good with these two young men and a great teacher. The fishing was a little slow and what was caught was fairly small, but I know it's fishing that happens. Bob is a great guy and knows his business and the river and he tried hard to get us on the fish. I will be back with Bob soon.
