This is when the fishing gets really exciting! You can have a lot of fun reeling in big Redfish and Trout, as well as some monster Shark specimens.

In July, huge Redfish are lurking everywhere, so you can expect to catch some big creatures inshore. This is when tourism heats up, so expect to have a great time on water and land.

Agosto

This is the best time of year to target Tarpon, as they are in peak season. You can have a great adventure trying to catch a big “Silver King” on the fly.

As summer is slowly coming to an end, the temperature and the storms cool down. Fishing the flats is still productive when it comes to Tarpon, Redfish, and many more.

Octubre

With temperatures slowly dropping, inshore fishing is very enjoyable. This is a great time to target Trout, as well as Sheepshead, Red Drum, and Flounder.

With tourism dropping, this is a great time to just relax and enjoy spending some time in nature. Trout is biting around underwater structures, and Red Drum is still a great target.

Knowledgeable guide is almost a given if you’re targeting Redfish or Seatrout since access to the various tidal creeks is only feasible by boat. Really need to see it to believe the maze of creeks. Oh, and the tides in the area rise and fall over 6 feet each day. Never seen that before. It’s like the marsh is breathing - recirculating the fresh and salt water the fish thrive in.

I had a great trip with Capt Chris. I took a four hour inshore charter. I caught plenty of redfish and sea trout and a smattering of other fish. More importantly, Capt Chris was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I would have learned a great deal about local fishing conditions and techniques generally, and would have had a great time, even if we had not fared so well. I would definitely recommend Keen Eye to anyone looking to fish in the Charleston area.

My wife, 13yo, 9yo and I had a great time with Captain Rob. We spoke prior to our trip and I explained to Capt. Rob that my kids hadn’t been to the ocean and I wanted them to experience dolphins and learn about the area, as well as to have an opportunity to catch a fish. Chris was excellent, very responsive on the app and text, very professional and personable with a deep knowledge of the Charleston area waters. Our family had so much fun, and we caught so many fish (speckled sea trout, sea bass, and Red Drum), even the kids were worn out reeling them in, ha. We are already thinking about a future off-shore trip, after our near-shore trip was so successful. Would definitely recommend for the Kiawah and Seabrook area!

We had a great day fishing with Chris. We went for sheepshead (because that was what was biting) and caught a ton of sheepshead and several seabass. Overall, a very fun day. We will be back.
