The season here kicks off in April, when Coho and Chinook Salmon start patrolling the waters around the harbor. These species are the superstars of Port Washington, and you’ll usually be trolling for them using planer boards. Visit in August, and you'll encounter the best that the Great Lakes have to offer – trophy-sized King Salmon. Schools of Steelhead and hauls of Lake Trout make for great target as well!

Troll for large, spawning Lake Trout on Lake Michigan's reefs. Brown Trout are biting in shallow waters. Catches of non-spawning Chinook Salmon and Steelhead are common in October, too!

Most of the boats are out of the water by November, and you might even see Lake Michigan icing over. Why not try your luck and fish from the pier for Trout?

Ruben and Tracy were amazing. The weather was a little touchy this day with the wind causing huge swells, but Cpt Ruben made the best of it and we caught really nice Brown Trout. They made the experience so enjoyable, even with only catching two fish. Will definitely make another trip with them. Per their advice, we'll come back in June or July when we can really catch some fish.

My son and I had a wonderful time. Ruben and Tracy were great! Would definitely recommend. We had to reschedule a couple times before we were able to get out, but that was ok. It was a little disappointing, but it instilled a confidence that Rubin was more concerned about our experience than simply just taking us out. Overall it was a great experience. I took my son one his first fishing charter. we meet up with Josh early and was able to back out and be ready before dawn. Tired a few things in close because of the waves but it was not working. Moved out farther into the waves and were successful. Josh runs a good clean boat and works hard too get it done. Thanks.

Poor weather, lasted less then 1 hour. Nobody's fault just the way it was. The Captain took us out like I asked him to so it was a poor decision on my part. I would go with them again. The way the boat was pitching side to side it would have been very difficult to get any fish in and the people with me were getting sea sick. Maybe next time it will be better.

Four of us went out for a 6 hour trip. It was our first time on Lake Michigan even though the fishing was a bit slow, we had a blast! Capt. Ruben and Tracy have a great sense of humor and did their best to put us on fish. When seas got rough, Capt. Ruben was honest with us about our chances for catching more fish. We ended up with 5 fish and great memories. Definitely booking with them next year!

Captain Jim and Kyle were fantastic! My brother-in-law and I took our 4 boys (11-15) out for a 5 hour trip and they did not disappoint. Me and my grandson had a fantastic time fishing with Captain Josh. He is experienced and a seasoned angler. He had well kept equipment and a nice boat. You can tell he loves fishing and gives it his all. He was really helpful and gave clear instructions to easily follow to land more fish. All in all an awesome charter and this won’t be the last time fishing with him for us.

Josh was great. He notified us the day before the fish were biting early and asked us come out sooner. Tough conditions with a front coming in while we were out. He kept looking for fish when other boats were going in. We really appreciated the effort from him.
