Things are noticeably more quiet on the Cape, but there’s still fishing fun to be had. Cod and Haddock like the cold and you can even do some ice fishing for Trout in one of the nearby ponds.

Cod and Haddock fishing remains the top activity for wintertime visitors. Finding a fishing charter may be more difficult than usual, however, so be sure to do your research beforehand.

Marzo

Luckily, winter doesn’t last for too long on the Cape. Shops start to open up again in preparation for high season. Best of all, the waters start to warm up and you can start to anticipate the arrival of the Stripers.

Abril

What a great time to be on the Cape! You’ll have the Cod, Haddock, Flounder, and Tautog-filled waters all to yourself before the spring crowds start to descend.

Mayo

The waters are nice and warm (for the fish) and that means only one thing – massive Striped Bass! And if you came in the hope of landing a fish for dinner, Black Seabass make for a delicious treat.

Junio

It’s high fishing season on the Cape and all of your inshore favorites are coming out to play. Striped Bass, Flounder, Black Seabass, and Scup make for a mix of challenging and tasty targets.

Julio

This is the time when the area really shines. There are summer vacationers left, right, and center, and plenty of fun to be had. Inshore anglers will have their hands full with Stripers, Flounder, and Seabass.

The inshore fun continues with the addition of Bluefish! Make sure to book your charters and accommodation early to avoid disappointment – we’re still in high tourist season!

Big game anglers will head offshore for Tuna and Sharks, but there’s still plenty of great action in the bay too! Tautog, Flounder, Bluefish, and the tail-end of Striper season make for thrilling targets.

Just when you thought the action was over, the fish surprise you! Inshore, you’ll catch Bluefish, Scup, and the odd Striper. Meanwhile, Pollock, Cod, and Haddock start making moves nearshore.

Noviembre

Winter fishing on the Cape is not for the faint of heart, but it’s certainly rewarding. There are still a few charters operating and they may be willing to take you out in search of Cod and Haddock.

Went out with 4 teens who'd never been out before and we had a great time. The whales were out feeding and they got within 20 feet of the boat, closest any of us have ever been! Even at the end of the season, everyone caught something and we took home 3 keepers. Amazing time!

Captain Ross brought a great experience for us. He knew the best spot for fishing where it is the base and center for the cape code biological ecosystem. We even saw a group of whales feeding, the most spectacular moment in my life. The fish boat has the most advanced radar system so he always could find the stripers accurately. My friends and I all catched fished and we got more fish than expected. Really recommend to join him for fishing!

Captain Ralph was awesome and knowledgeable. We had lots of questions along the way- we had two kids ages 5&7 and he taught us a lot about fishing, the ocean and the boat. We caught two fish at once seconds after dropping the line but had to throw them back as they were undersized. We got to see a whale breech Twice! Then we caught a big bluefish to take home for dinner on the way in. Wonderful experience we’ll never forget. Thank you Captain Ralph💖

The bass simply weren’t biting today. Mark worked hard to put us on them, but we didn’t see ANYbody catching anything. Nobody seemed more disappointed than Mark himself about that. We found him to be very professional and personable, and we enjoyed our time on that water despite no fish. Would we book him again? Yes!

My boyfriend and I took the 8 hour fishing charter & we had a great time! The captain was very nice, had a great sense of humor and explained so much to us. Although we didn’t catch all the fish that we wanted to catch we were still able to go home with 5 huge bluefish & lots of memories. We saw tons of seals & whales as well! We definitely recommend this trip.
