It was fun but once it rained it got very cold. The fish were not biting very much at this time. I believe a later warmer time of year would have been better as far as catching fish. The trip itself was very fun.

If you are planing to drift the river on your own its advisable to fish with a guide until you learn the river as it does have some rough spots. There is some bank access and the local folks are friendly and fun to fish around.

We had a fun time fishing for stergeon. Cpt Mike was very knowledgeable and a blast to fish with. We had some sketchy boat neighbors that anchored up right on us and kept getting caught in our lines. Cpt. Mike was super Profesional and felt with it without making it awkward for anyone. Would recommend and will go again in the future.

Over and above what we thought we would experience!!! Dave was patient, relatable and knowledgeable throughout. I brought my 2 boys (7 and 9 yr olds) and my husband. None of us really knew what we were doing (we had only been fishing and crabbing off piers) but it was cool because we didn't have to do anything beyond showing up. We hadn't had much luck crabbing prior to this, but we caught our limit in no time. We plan to return during salmon season. Thank you so much for an amazing day!!

We booked this trip for a spontaneous adventure on our vacation to Portland from Ohio, booking experience was smooth and Ken sent texts to let us know everything about how to acquire fishing licenses and directions to the boat launch. An amazing day out fishing and crabbing with captain Rod. All five of us limited out on crab! Rod was highly focused on getting us into the best possible fishing spots throughout the day, all while being exceptionally pleasant, knowledgeable, and patient. My son & I were in town for a couple days in Portland and I had booked a trip on line. We could not have had a better time or had a better captain than Ken. he was as excited as we were and loved taking about the fishing and the area. Our experience with Captain Dave was great! Dave is an expert in the waters in the Columbia river and Coast fishing. The Columbia river was closed to fishing so we went out in the ocean. We were catching fish almost immediately and were limited out in two hours! We are looking forward to next year.

We booked this trip for a spontaneous adventure on our vacation to Portland from Ohio, booking experience was smooth and Ken sent texts to let us know everything about how to acquire fishing licenses and directions to the boat launch. He was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to through the whole trip. It was very relaxing and the view of the mountains from the Gorge was to die for. Would 100% book with him again next time we come into town!

An amazing day out fishing and crabbing with captain Rod. All five of us limited out on crab! Rod was highly focused on getting us into the best possible fishing spots throughout the day, all while being exceptionally pleasant, knowledgeable, and patient. Couldn't recommend Reel Em Up more, we'll absolutely be back.

My son & I were in town for a couple days in Portland and I had booked a trip on line. We could not have had a better time or had a better captain than Ken. he was as excited as we were and loved taking about the fishing and the area. We caught 13 Sturgeon and had over 20 snags/bites that we could not pull in. Overall great day. Thank you!

Our experience with Captain Dave was great! Dave is an expert in the waters in the Columbia river and Coast fishing. The Columbia river was closed to fishing so we went out in the ocean. We were catching fish almost immediately and were limited out in two hours! We are looking forward to next year.
