What better way to start the year than a fishing adventure in the Ozarks? Thanks to the year-round fishing opportunities here, you’ll find plenty of fish. One that’s biting especially hard in January is Crappie.

February

In February, you’ll start seeing Bass in larger numbers, and they get hungry at this time of the year. Head over to the shallower waters for the best chance of catching all Bass varieties!

March

With temperatures slowly rising, you’ll find that fishing doesn’t slow down in Lake of the Ozarks. On the contrary, the Bass bite is hot, and you’ll find them swarming the shallower waters of the lake.

April

If Bass is what you’re after, this is the time to go for them. You’ll find that both Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass are biting hard, and you can also test your luck with Crappie and Paddlefish.

May

With spring in full swing, a day on the water can do wonders. Head on down to the lake and go after some of the prized species on offer, like Bass, Crappie, Bluegill, and Catfish.
