Fishing around Perdido Pass is one of the best ways to get someone hooked on catching fish. Only 2 miles east of Orange Beach, the Pass is among some of the most popular vacation destinations in the state. When you add a year-round fishing season on top of that, it’s no wonder why there are so many guides to choose from. With a local guide, you can easily avoid crowded spots at the boardwalk and go deeper to the Gulf for bigger fish.
Early summer is by far the most popular time to go fishing. The main “culprit” for this is Red Snapper, The Gulf’s signature fish. You can catch this red delicacy by bottom fishing on a reef trip. If Red Snapper is your main target, be sure to book your trip ahead of time – these trips sell out fast!
Even when the Red Snapper season closes, the show isn’t over yet. Offshore spots hold huge numbers of Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Blue Marlin, White Marlin, and Wahoo. It takes some time to reach these spots, so be sure to book an extended full day trip.
If you only want to go a few miles out, take a nearshore trip and target Cobia, Amberjack, Kingfish, and Spanish Mackerel. Inshore trips are recommended if you don’t have a lot of time but still want to catch a few fish, such as Flounder, Speckled Trout, and Redfish. The Perdido Pass Bridge is one of the most popular spots to visit on inshore trips, so it’s best to come here early in the morning, before the place gets too crowded.
Local charters cover your fishing license and equipment, so all you have to do is show up. Hop aboard, catch some fish, and enjoy your catch in one of the restaurants back at the marina.

Capt Ben is great, we have been out with him 3 times now over the last three years. He is great with the kids, patient laid back and friendly. Weather forecast was looking sketchy a couple of days before our trip. I reached out to Captain Ben and he started exploring our options. It worked out that we were able to take our scheduled trip with only a one hour delay. He paid attention to the weather, skirted us around some showers, and kept working to put us on the fish. Had a lot of fun pulling in some red drum! It was a successful outing.

The bite started out slow. The sheepshead had moved in but they were very slow on the bite. Capt Brad kept changing tactics looking for something that worked. In the last hour of the trip we pulled in 6 fish. We all had a great time and I will definitely book with them again. First Mate Chris was always on time and target. Great trip and got to see where a bunch of Forest Gump was filmed. Book with Nauti Fish Co and you can’t go wrong.

We didn’t choose the best weather day but we did choose the best Captain to experience them with. We couldn’t have asked for a better captain & crew. Even with less than perfect fishing conditions, we had 23 keepers & multiple throwbacks. Captain Tommy & Amelia were very friendly & knowledgeable and made the trip a lot of fun. We will definitely use them again!!

We had an awesome time out today with Corey and Chubbs. Prompt, courteous and engaging communication through the whole process! Chubbs kept our lines baited and the lines untangled. Caught 29 Vermillion snapper, trigger was too small and the bottom of the gulf was too big to keep! Even in the November the ac was appreciated. Hope to go out again soon!

We had a good day fishing. Most we caught were catch and release. We caught one redfish we could keep and eat. Captain Ben was knowledgeable and a great host! Would definitely recommend!

We booked with Capt. Matt just a day before the trip. He couldn’t have been more accommodating for our group. Didn’t think you could catch specks in this weather because we got skunked a day earlier, but he proved us wrong. Boat was perfect and we learned a lot. We will be using him on our next trip.

Capt Ben is great, we have been out with him 3 times now over the last three years. He is great with the kids, patient laid back and friendly. He has put us on fish every year and we have caught several species with him (Sheepshead, Mangrove snapper, Spanish Mackerel and black drum). We will continue to go on trips with him when we are in town.

Wonderful fun day fishing with Captain Austin Morgan. Caught limit of Redfish then fished another spot and caught and released several black drum. Also got to a of dolphins up close. All in all at trip to remember.

Weather forecast was looking sketchy a couple of days before our trip. I reached out to Captain Ben and he started exploring our options. It worked out that we were able to take our scheduled trip with only a one hour delay. He paid attention to the weather, skirted us around some showers, and kept working to put us on the fish. Had a lot of fun pulling in some red drum! It was a successful outing.

The bite started out slow. The sheepshead had moved in but they were very slow on the bite. Capt Brad kept changing tactics looking for something that worked. In the last hour of the trip we pulled in 6 fish. We all had a great time and I will definitely book with them again. First Mate Chris was always on time and target. Great trip and got to see where a bunch of Forest Gump was filmed. Book with Nauti Fish Co and you can’t go wrong.
