Drop shotting with live crickets caught us at least 6 different species of fish. Seeing as I'd never fished this lake before I opted to hire a guide. Another good idea is to question the locals. Local bait shops can provide great references. If you don't have access to a boat there is a good chance the locals can refer you to a good bank fishing spot.

Captain Terry and his first mate(wife), Pat made our fishing trip with our 11 and 13 year old grandsons a memory for a lifetime. Terry knew right where the Hybrids and White Bass were and he put us right on them and we caught fish! Pat was extremely helpful and both were very kind and patient with our inexperience. We caught 44 fish including a 9 pound Hybrid! It was great fun and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Terry and his wife were excellent guides! We went out on a cold morning in March after a spell of warm weather and we didn’t catch all that we wanted, but Terry did everything he could to put us in fish. Rod and reel and bait were all ready to go. Terry has a great boat and knows the lake well. I’d recommend this guide to anyone.

My father, my son, and I booked with Captain Terry and Pamela who were awesome to fish with! We had such a great time. We were going for big browns and with Jeff’s knowledge of the river and great fishing skills we were able catch several trophy browns and lots of smaller ones. Also caught lots of rainbows. I’ve been on several guided trips on the white river and I can truly say this was my best trip on the white river. I have a trip scheduled trip with J and J in early May and I can’t wait because I know it will be great day of fishing with Jeff.
