- Background
- I have been fishing my entire life. I grew up riding my bike to the local lake after school to catch Bass and Garfish and teaching all my friends how to fish. My father was an avid fisherman, spear fisherman, and a captain. He taught me everything I know. I went to college to study electrical engineering and started working in the electrical field but after a couple years of doing that, I knew that I did not belong there. I quit my job and went to a captains school to get my license and have been working as a boat captain since. All I ever wanted to do is have a job on the water. Now my dreams have come true. I love being able to teach people that have never really fished. There's nothing like putting a big smile on someone's face after they have reeled up the fish of a lifetime. Tight lines, Capt. Chris.
- Techniques
- Bottom fishing is my specialty. I like to fish in 70ft or more water for bottom species of fish. They include Groupers, snappers, amberjacks, triggerfish, cobia, and countless others. I use 30-50lb rods with 4/0 Penn or Okuma reels with very little drag. I also like to troll for pelagic fish species. They include kingfish, Wahoo, dolphin, tuna, billfish, and etc..
