My wife, 7 year old daughter and I took a half day trip with CAPT John out of Buffalo Harbor.  As we were putting in for the afternoon trip other boats were coming in from their morning trips and reported SLOW fishing - one boat said they caught one fish in 7-8 hours of fishing. 

CAPT John was not deterred and within 5 minutes of getting to our first spot I hooked into a nice Sheepshead.  While those are considered “trash” fish because they aren’t edible (too bony) they make for a fun catch because of their fight.

We continued to catch sheepshead in various different spots.  Right at the end of the trip CAPT John moved us to one of his secret spots and we started catching mice smallmouth bass.  On our last pass of the trip we doubled up - our daughter hooked and landed a 4-5 lb small mouth bass and my wife hooked and landed a 3-4 lb sheepshead.

In the end we caught well over a dozen fish and had a great day on the water with CAPT John!

I Took my two young boys and wife fishing with Captain John. I told John that my boys were ok with drift fishing. The rods and tackle were easy for my boys to handle. My boys were cold but there was enough fish activity to keep them busy. We drifted two hours for trout and two hours for bass. My youngest caught the 12 lb lake trout and my oldest caught two beautiful rainbows with one jumping out of the water many times on its retrieval. We caught plenty of small mouth bass. My boys will always remember this day. Thanks Captain John for your knowledge and flexibility.

Capt John was initially a bit concerned with the walleye bite in the weeks leading up to us fishing with him. John knew we were traveling from Michigan to experience a day of Erie walleye fishing, but we were willing to switch it up if needed. Well, John found the walleye, and we limited out in no time with quality, well fed fish - with a few smallmouth thrown in as a bonus, including a 20 incher! Great day of fishing with a great captain, and we’ve already made arrangements to come fish with Capt John again….

Captain Paul Schirmer was spectacular at hosting us on his boat for our afternoon fishing trip. He not only put us on fish in minutes, he also coached and cheered on my son through the whole trip ensuring he had a good time.  He had a great knowledge of the area and what fish and where we could target them, to the point we had many double rod hits throughout the afternoon.  Highly recommend Paul for your Fishing trip up here in Buffalo.

We had our charter with a connected charter called DRAB6 CHARTERS…..Thumbs up!! Our Captain Steve (Stephen) was phenomenal, even when it’s slow this time of year he still put us on some fish. This totally worth the trip great time, great view, awesome conversation and very informative. I definitely recommend Drab6 fishing charter. (Do your research on when the fishing is good, just a recommendation.this was our first trip out and will follow through with same charter and different times of yr) ...all in all Glad we ended up with Drab6 for sure…thank you Capt John (N.R.G.S.) AND Capt Stephen (Drab6).
