On the way to the boat, my 10 year old son & I said we might catch a fish but doubted any of them would be bigger than the palm of our hand.

Then, within 15 minutes of leaving the dock, we caught a huge striped bass. Then bluefish. And more bass. By the end of the day, our boat brought in dozens of fish and kept a half dozen or so we could legally keep.

Captain Vinnie & Roger were extremely knowledgeable & helpful. And they were also kind, going out of their way to make sure my son was happy and having a good experience.

We kept moving from spot to spot, following the activity of birds who were a sign of fish underneath. Without Vinnie & Roger know where to go and when, I would be casting all day without a nibble. Even just moving around the bay on a beautiful day was a wonderful experience.

Finally, when we were back on the dock, Roger generously cleaned the fish for all of us and we took it home. My wife was amazed and said it was delicious.

I highly recommend this trip. The next time my son wants to go fishing, I will be sure to call Captain Vinnie.

This was our 2nd time out with Capt Vinnie and his mate, Roger. The first time was out of Sheepshead Bay in late August and we anchored off the north side of Staten Island, casting cut bunker for stripers. I took my 9-yr old son and a couple of friends. It was a wonderful morning and we came home with a couple meals worth of fish each, plus had fun pulling in a dogfish and a couple toadfish. The second time was out of Howard Beach and Broad Channel, jigging and topfishing for stripers and blues on a late September afternoon. Again, amazing time. my son brought along a friend and his mom and we all had a great time. The wind was a hassle but Vinnie must have gone all over Jamaica Bay with us in pursuit of the fish. We pulled in a gorgeous sea trout, porgy, a couple stripers and over a dozen fat bluefish. It was so much fun and as relatively novice fishermen who have caught the fishing bug, we learned so much. Fishing with Vinnie is great, great, great. Roger is a whiz with the filet knife and both of these seasoned gentlemen are firm but patient as heck with the kids and the wealth of knowledge they have to share alone is worth the price. Great value. Great experience. I can’t wait to go back out again.

This is my first time salt water fishing so I didn’t know what to expect.  The boat was clean had everything we needed including non-alcoholic drinks.  Roger is a hoot sharing stories about their trips in Florida during the NY pandemic. 

Don’t let Captain Vinnie’s weight lifter physique intimidate you.  He is a big mush who taught us how to cast, how to find fish and how to adjust to the natural elements.  He also made sure everyone caught something. 

During the fall when the fish migrate down the Hudson is a good time to launch the boat.  I’ll definitely be back and would be so lucky to join him catch a big eye tuna someday.

Karen Ann Charters and Capt Vinnie as well as his mate Roger provided me with one of the best fishing experiences I’ve had in the past few years. We had to reschedule due to the latest tropical storm but after one phone call we were all good to go. I met the boat at the exact right time/place the Capt indicated and we were off to fishing grounds. Vinnie and Roger provided excellent advice on how to land the elusive striped bass. They are large, finicky, and unpredictable. Despite all that, within 10 minutes we were pulling shorts and eventually keeper sized stripers onto the deck. Roger and Vinne kept chumming the water and cutting fresh bait so we were always making the best presentation to the fish. There were 5 of us on the boat and after 2+ hours of pretty decent action it was time to head in. Everyone when home with a big ziplock bag of striper filets expertly prepared by Roger. There was a good amount of room on the deck and a large cooler well stocked with soda, water, seltzer, etc. for us to enjoy. I will definitely be fishing with Capt Vinnie again! Lasty, if you like to be entertained while you fish you are in for a treat. Vinnie keeps the jokes coming for the whole trip. He had me rolling!!

I went to a fishing trip with captain Vinnie on June 2th 2020. This was my first time I used the fishingbooker.com for booking a fishing charter. Initially the charter was scheduled for Friday, May 29th 2020 but shortly before the captain has decided to cancel it due to bad weather. Despite the fact that I was upset with a short notice I followed the advice of the captain and re-scheduled the trip for the following Tuesday. Fishingbooker offered an excellent service and all the transaction (scheduling and re-scheduling, confirmation) went smoothly. The customer service member even gave a me a phone call in order to make sure that none of my wishes remain open.
The captain Vinnie is a nice guy with lots of experience. His boat is clean and well equipped. Captain belongs to the group of people that talks less but acts instead. If you want to get any information you should be pro-active in contacting him in order to get answers.
Captain knows his job perfectly, he brought me to very different spots in the Jamaica Bay where we could try our luck by catching bluefish and striped bass. Finally after couple of hours I was lucky to catch the big fish that you can see in the attached photo.
I could witness the professionalism of the captain Vinnie by the end of my fishing trip one more time. When we were about to return back suddenly the engine of the boat broke down. The captain remained calm and did not loose control. He quickly evaluated situation and organized a fast rescue by another boat.
