We had a great day.  Paul picked us up from Russell Wharf (where other charters were telling us how poor the fishing was).  He quickly had us catching live bait and then then took us to a great spot a little way up the coast where we were onto some big Kingies within 5 -10 minutes.  We landed two beautiful fish over 10kgs and had some great fights where we didn’t manage to land the fish. We also caught some big snapper.  Overall a spectacular day. 
While fishing is always different from day to day, we had one of the best days possible.  This was purely down to Paul taking us to a spot which, through his experience, he knew would provide the best opportunity for getting good fish based on local conditions.  It was notable that there were no other boats in sight while we were landing some great fish.

This was our first day in New Zealand on a 5 week adventure and we had the best time with Paul. Very friendly and knowledgeable.
Caught a few nice fish and then he guided us to a restaurant that cooked up a few amazing dishes.

We booked Get Reel Charters for our work xmas trip and the trip was amazing . Great size boat that is quick and the captain is a Brilliant guy. He made the effort to make sure we where catching fish , if the bite slowed down we moved to find more. Definatly recommend this charter to anyone actually wanting to catch fish . Ill be back for sure.

Captain Paul was very knowledgeable and helpful for me wife and I. The fishing started slow but Paul persisted and put us onto some really good quality fish. Highly recommend Captain Paul and his vessel Get Reel to any angler experienced or not.
