Happy Thanksgiving everyone and if you are not in Key West yet all I can say is why not. You wont find many cozy fireplaces here, but then again who needs them being located so close to the end of the rainbow. If you are tired of that same old traditional turkey dinner, you should be in Key West where the elusive wahoo have made a Thanksgiving appearance. On a recent trip our customers experienced some great wahoo action, and plan on eating the turkey of the ocean for dinner. The other white meat. On a recent trip to the Gulfstream South of Key West Capt. Conch Charters put there customers on the fish in a big hurry. We only had two of the 5 lines in the water when we hooked our first tuna,. From That moment on our beautifull new mate Brandy was kept very busy. We ended up with 10 blackfin tuna, 7 mahi. and topped it off with a nice sailfish.

Well We have finally dug out of the storm. Key West is open for business and fantasy fest lived up to all of its expectations. The fishing has recovered also, we have been catching numerous black fin tuna mixed with mahi mahi and the occasional sailfish. Our fall run of sailfish is just beginning, so make your plans to visit Key West and catch yourself a sailfish.

Hurricane Irma Update

Hurricane Irma is long gone thank God, but the aftermath is in full swing. Key West as well as all the Keys have been dealt a catastrophic blow. We are down, but we are far from out. To say that it has been hard Is an understatement, but thanks to the heroes that are working hard to restore our resources we are on the mend. It has been announced that we are trying for a October 20th re-opening of the Keys to our northern friends. We are all working hard towards that goal, as we cant wait to see you. In the meantime say a prayer for all the hurricane victims who are suffering through the aftermath of natures fury. Follow us on Facebook to see some videos of the storm.

72 Pound Wahoo Anyone

I took my 20 years old son on a 3/4 day deep sea fishing excursion with Captain Craig and mate Garrett. Although fishing was slow that day, no fault of the crew, we had a great time. The Captain even kept us out an extra 20 minutes to catch a couple more fish. My son reeled in a 3lb mahi and I snagged a 19lb wahoo. We also caught some Bonita and a mackerel. See hadn’t planned to fish this trip but thought the boys would love it. We found Capt Conch Too on FishingBooker and could not be more pleased! With only a half day and someone who had never fished before, Capt Joel had everyone looking like pros in no time! Definitely the highlight of our trip with not only memories to last a lifetime, but a cooler full of fish to take home and enjoy. Next time we are in the Keys, we’ll be sure to look him up again!

It was my first time fishing and I’m gonna say I was a little worried going, but after doing it, I wanted to do it again the next day! We ended up taking the fish over to Dantes and they cooked it for us, and we sat with the people that were on the boat with us. It was a great day!
