North Myrtle Beach, United States
- Background
- I am originally from the small island of Barbados. Growing up on a small island, surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, it was easy for me to get involved in fishing, diving and surfing at a young age and continued to do so in my spare time throughout my life. I have fished from the shore, from a windsurf board, from a kayak, from a small inshore boat that I built ,and from 40+ feet long sport fishing boats in Barbados and other Caribbean Countries; catching many species of offshore and inshore fish. When me, my wife, son and daughter moved to North Myrtle Beach in 2001, my goal then was to follow my dreams and start an inshore fishing charter service within a few years of learning the the local fishing areas. After much prayer, my goal came to fruition in April of 2005 and I have been living my dream ever since.
- Techniques
- I prefer to fish the Inshore natural and man-made structures like docks, oyster shell beds, bridges, and fallen trees in the Salt Water marshes and along the Intracoaslal Waterway, in addition to the rock jetties at the Inlet; using a combination of live, artificial and fresh-cut bait on light tackle spinning reels and rods. Sometimes we will cast, sometimes we will drift, sometimes we will do a combination of both while utilizing the quiet 110 lb thrust, GPS enabled trolling motor mounted on the bow of the "Go Fish".
