What a great experience we had as a family! The day started out rough because we were 30 minutes late. No matter, the captain and crew was waiting for us. We left dock and soon began trolling. We were in communication with other boats in the area and no one was catching fish. But after a couple hours of seeing flying fish and several sea turtles swimming and a little prayer things changed.  Suddenly the captain and 1st mate started yelling “fish on”! We soon learned that we hooked into something big because the line was flying off the spool for sometime. The five of us spent 40 minutes sharing the pleasure of reeling this beast in! Once to the boat Alex gaffed it and brought it aboard only to learn we hooked into a rare 40lb. King Mackerel. Captain Jaimi shared that he’d never seen a King that big before. We were all amazed at its size. What a moment.
The crew put the fish on ice and we went back to trolling. A couple hours later we hooked into a Bonito.
This crew and boat caught fish while others headed back to the dock empty.
Other comments:
The boat was well maintained and the crew was very fun and enjoyable.  Once the trip was over we went back to the dock where the crew filleted the fish for us and we took the meat to a local restaurant and they prepared a meal for us. The Bonito sashimi was fabulous!
We went with Big Boss after a terrible experience with another company, Fishing Tours La Playa. The other company canceled on us 2 days in a row with zero communication. We paid 2 days worth of transportation fees and for a family of 5 was $240.
Big Boss, on the other hand, communicated often with us several days before the trip and the day before the trip to let us know the trip was a go. Even when we had questions, concerns, or wanted to share information it made communication easy because of the Fishing Booker app!

I brought my 8 and 11 year old for a 4 hour charter.  The captain and crew were amazing.  They never stopped working to get us on fish.  The kids caught 4 or 5 each and I finally landed a Red Snapper.  They were very patient with the kids and their limited attention spans too!  Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reputable charter.

Mid March isn’t the best time for trophy fishing in Cancun, but Big Boss managed to put us on a trophy wahoo. Then with a boat of fishing novices, the captain suggested bottom fishing, which gave everyone lots of action. Friendly crew and a big clean boat with plenty of room for 4-6 people. Will book again!

Captain Jaime and First mate Alex were awesome!  They worked hard to put us on the fish.  Caught a massive Red Snapper, barracuda, and a bunch of trigger fish.  You can tell they really enjoy fishing and want you to have a fun trip.  Captain made us some fresh ceviche during the trip, plenty of beer and other refreshments as needed.  Boat was nice, plenty of room, highly recommend Big Boss fishing guide!

The captain and crew was awesome ! They were prepared when we got there, no messing around. They both worked very hard keep the rods fishing and keeping us on fish. And they did just that, my girlfriend and I cought 12 fish 3 different species despite the water being a bit rough…  you will have a great time with this boat and crew… Dan

Oh and btw the freshly cought and prepared ceviche was amazing !!!
