Member since April 2016 Hudson, United States
Background
I have been involved in the fishing community since my father introduced me at 3 years old. He fished multiple freshwater tournaments while I was growing up and from then on, I've been hooked! I've fished the Greater Tampa Bay Area since 1997 with my family and learned from the top guides in this area. I acquired my USCG Captain's License at the age of 18 and I haven't looked back since. I have many years of experience when it comes to tournament style fishing. I have fished in the Professional Tarpon Tournament Series held in Boca Grande Pass, Florida and I've also fished multiple inshore tournaments in the Tampa Bay area.
Techniques
I prefer to fish live bait for inshore fishing and artificial for tarpon fishing. There is nothing better then throwing out 20 live White Bait chummers and watching the water come alive. The snook and redfish are very aggressive eaters on the correct tide and that is a show in itself. Tarpon fishing in Boca Grande Pass is one of the most demanding ways of fishing, but it is also one of the most productive ways to fish also. We vertical drop artificial jigs anywhere from 40-75 feet and drift through schools of Tarpon that are sometimes 25 feet tall. Words can't describe the power and the acrobatic capabilities of these fish.
