We are repeat customers on El Budster and have always enjoyed a great experience fishing with their team.  The boat is clean and comfortable, the gear was top notch (including new Shimano Talica 2-speed reels).  Captain Francisco and mate Omar are both very experienced anglers and great to fish with - they speak good English, they listen to their customers as to what type of fishing they want to do that day, and they work hard the entire day to catch fish.  On this trip, three of us were celebrating my son’s 35th birthday - and my son loves to catch yellowing tuna.  Even though the tuna fishing hadn’t been too hot lately, they listened and took us out to the tuna grounds.  We caught two yellowfin tuna, and also got lots of dorado, and the day was capped off with a big blue marlin for the birthday boy.  Another day to remember.  Highly recommend Francisco, Omar and the El Budster!

i have been on a few charters in Mexico and the Caribbean and I can’t explain how much this trip blows the others away!  Let’s start with the crew.  Luis and his first mate were punctual, hospitable, and all about getting us on fish.  You could tell they both take their jobs very seriously and want to make sure everyone has a great experience.  Second, the fishing.  We started out going for Marlin, and only having a half day trip, it gave us a pretty tight window to get on to them.  The first 3 hours were pretty slow with a couple Marlins sighted but no takers.  It was here that we asked Luis if it made sense to maybe do some inshore fishing to at least give the boys some excitement in the day…we thought we would catch a few Skipjacks and be done with it.  Luis changed fishing plans with no questions asked and within 10 minutes we were on a dorado double header…then another…then a skipjack double header.  The last 90 minutes were mayhem!  7 Dorados and we lost count on the Skipjacks!  These guys were absolutely awesome.

Wow, unbelievable! Within 15 minutes of arriving at our first spot,  we caught two striped marlin in the span of about 30 minutes. Both were about the length of the beam. We were very impressed. Also, probably pretty blessed to catch them at just the right time.  but I have a feeling, even if we had to wait longer or caught something less,  Miguel and Luis would’ve made this experience nonetheless very enjoyable . Absolute professionals they know what they’re doing. You can feel confident that you chose the right team.
On the way out, we got to see the beautiful arch and they took lots of pics of our group. The morning light was perfect backdrop on the cliffs and set the stage for a great day. It was a little rough going out and A few of us got seasick .but that’s right when we started catching the marlin so don’t feel bad if you need to chum the water. it’s all part of the experience, and you feel better afterwards. Thank you for an awesome time.

The crew was very friendly and really knew what they were doing.  We got on board at 6:30am and were pulling out of the slip within a couple of minutes.  We asked to fish for Marlin and he said he had caught 4 the day before and reminded us that there was no guarantee that we would catch fish as it. Is called fishing, not catching.
Once we got to his hot spot for marlin, we began to troll.  Anytime they spotted a marlin close to the boat they would cast out another live bait to try to catch the one they say.  They worked very hard to get us a marlin. It was not long until we hooked a marlin.  After a great fight, we boated a 8’ Striped Marlin.  We took pictures and did a catch and release. We ended up catching a second striped marlin about an hour later. 
We were extremely pleased with the captain and crew.  They were obviously experts and it showed. I would definitely recommend El Budster Pride and plan on fishing with them again. Other than some rough seas, it was a great day of fishing!
