Captain Ron and deck hand Hunter were great they kept us talking and switching spots until we got fish. Nobody was on fire weather was bad but right off the bad Captain Ron had coffee and great conversation. This was our Family Christmas present trip and it was amazing we laughed, had fun, got to take some amazing photos and caught fish not a lot of keepers but enough to keep all 7 of us happy and provide dinner for all of us. So overall an amazing trip. Captain Ron and Hunter were very kind and worked well with the few in my group that had never fished before they were not pushy or grouchy when the little or adults reeled the weight right to the first eye and I cringed or didn’t give them slack when they were trying to get their fish in the boat. It was a huge relief for me because I didn’t have to do it or yell and I could stay the nice understanding father and stay in good graces with all on the trip. So Ron and Hunter if you read this thank you. You guys made my families Christmas very memorable and drama free. We even have someone on the boat catch their very first fish ever she is hooked, great Christmas present so congrats and way to be great stewards of creating the next generation of anglers. Merry Christmas 2023 I will see you next year.

I’ve known Ron for 3 decades and I’ve known Hunter (deckhand) for several years since they began on the Nautilus. Hunter is a polite, responsible and eager young man that is capable of back to back days/months of 14 to 16 hour days. Ron has instilled in Hunter work ethics that are hard to find in people his age. Embarking on this fishing journey from SF with Captain Ron was an absolute blast! The fun-filled atmosphere added an extra layer of enjoyment. Not only did we revel in the stunning views, but we also triumphantly reeled in crabs and striped bass. Success was sweet, making this trip an exhilarating and memorable fishing escapade. Highly recommend for both the seasoned angler and those seeking a lively aquatic adventure!

A lot of action catching stripers and perch today!  Caught limits of big crab and while the crab hoops were being hauled up, received an unexpected treat of seeing whales breaching. A nice way to cap a beautiful day!  The seas were calm and the thought of bringing the bounty of riches caught that day brought a smile to all!  Does it get any better?

This is my second time chartering with captain Ron, great experience all around. The water is a little bit choppy today but Ron took us to a quieter place to load up on lingcod’s and rock cod. On our way back, we stop for stripe bass and we immediately reach limit within 10 mins! Captain Ron really knows the spot!
