Took the fam out for an afternoon trip. The fishing has been so good lately i decided to get my son on some fish. We pulled up to the first spot and the fish were right where we left them the day before on our charters. Caught and released fish until my son was worn out and kept a few for dinner. Captain Saul set out to put the Hance family on some evening action. Following a strong front and winds the day before, the water had been churned up and the fishing was likely to be tough. Captain saul got out to inviting conditions and the fish were hungry too. Big red drum, black drum, and sheepshead were ready to eat. These are our typical fish we target all of March into april. We had a really great spring break this year. Thanks to many of our return customers and some new friends we’ve made. Most days yielded limits of sheepshead which are great table fare and lots of big black drum to stretch arms. As the spring spawn does off we will start our transition to catching more redfish, trout, mackerel, and sharks on our jetty trips. With great weather and even better fishing we expect to see a good turnout for the next couple of months before we start our summer deep sea trips.
