Nothing gets better than Fall time in my opinion.. Everything just comes together for an awesome day on the water. Bait is still plentiful and you can catch your inshore slam snook, redfish, and Trout normally in the same spot. Good time of year to take out the family or even friends for the holiday season. Inshore fishing has been great to say the least. Lots of male snook to mess around with some hogs mixed in. Once the water warms up we have been hitting the open bay for some snapper action to fill the plates.

The primary suspects have been mostly snook with redfish making a comeback in large numbers. This time of year bait is plentiful and fish are seeking to find that tasty little morsel called the scaled sardine or also known as white bait. You can locate them on structure or on the flats by using fish food and jack mackerel. If your the artificial type you can through top water plugs in the morning and switch to swim baits or spoons in the afternoon to resemble the scaled sardine. The water temp is climbing and the tarpon migration is on the rise. Looking forward to an awesome season.

As the water cools fish are going to be transitioning into their winter homes. You can targert a nice variety of species this time a year including some trophy snook / trout. The water temp is right and so is this weather .

Summer time heat is here and the bite is great as of the late. Focusing on moving cleaner water has been a success for inshore species. The beaches and passes still showing a number of tarpon still as they do their migration pattern. Dead vaotsbhave been producing the bigger quality fish but live baby sardines. Match the hatch deal is working good too.

Everything is coming together like it should be this time of year. The tarpon are on the beaches, snook still slamming the flats, and redfish by the numbers. Despite the increase boat traffic there are still plenty of areas to catch the fish of a life time. Bait of choice is still live pilchards for most species, however as it gets hotter cut bait will be on the top of the list.
