I may be the first to write a bad review,but I’m just gonna say I waited a week to actually write a review, so I could actually try my best to be a GOOD person.
I won’t go into details but the first mate knows….
The captain and first mate both got 20% plus in tips because I’m not that guy…I left knowing I am not a jerk!
And I am hoping that the bad luck MOJO that the captain played on us will be forgotten!

The boat looks like it sank and someone forgot to tell them. The cabin, restroom, and lower areas of the boat were absolutely disgusting and some of the rooms were filled with trash. There was no ventilation in the cabin, and due to the heat and diesel fumes no one could stay in there for more than a few minutes. Not enough seats for 4 people and a hole in the floor that I tripped on twice (broken access cover). The first mate did do his best with the equipment he was given. The mate Alex was friendly, attentive, and did a great job of keeping our baits fresh and lines in the water. We did catch 3 mahi so our trip was a success but I should have done my due diligence when checking the vessels prior to booking.

First off, Sherwin and Alexander were excellent hosts, knew what they were doing, and made the experience of catching only 1 fish over 4 hours as good and fun as it could be.  I would recommend this charter because of them.

However, the boat was extremely unimpressive.  I realize I was there to fish, not enjoy the boat amenities, and I realize the boat is 44 years old, but the toilet was what I would expect of an outhouse on land, and the room across from the toilet was literally filled with trash.  Maybe I was wrong to expect more, but since we were not catching any fish (again not blaming the crew for that) the focus turned inward to the boat.

As to fishing in Aruba, my experience is that it is not worth it.  I have chartered a boat 4 times, once in March, once in July, and twice in November of different years and have twice caught only 1 fish, once 3 and once 4.  Certainly not blaming the boats or the crew, but for me there is no need to go deep-sea fishing in Aruba again.

Our family had a great time!! Captain put us on the fish and we had some great catches even though a shark got a healthy bite out of one!  We would definitely recommend to anyone interested.  Crew was great as well!
