Me, two brothers and our 3 kids. Half day. Friendly and knowledgeable crew. Gerard set all lines quickly. First Mahi mahi jumped and shook off. 30 min later we nailed another one and all took turns reeling it in. My 10 year old son brought it close. Took home about 8 lbs of meat. Then right before heading home we hit a massive sailfish. The thing was flying out of the water. Took some photos and released. Amazing trip!

Everything went smoothly dealing with Sea Star.  As soon as I booked my outing I was contacted and any questions I had were answered.  I was met on time the morning of my trip and taken straight to the waiting boat.  The crew was very professional and everything was attended to, fom bait prep to the equipment,  lunch and cleaning the catch.  The sailfish were there and we could see them coming out of the water.  The captain chased them but in the end I had an experience and caught two Dorado and a Black Tuna.  Will book again with them if I return.

Captain and crew were very skillful . They navigated through a reasonably broad terrain trolling for Pacific Mackerel, Tuna and eventually landing a Rooster Fish at 60 to 70 pounds. Kids were elated.

No issues with either the boat or crew. Boat is a little underpowered but that would be my only complaint. 200HP Yamaha couldn’t get it on a plane to get anywhere, even with 4 fishermen and 1 of the 2 crew sitting on the bow.

Fishing was very slow for the first 6 hours, and started catching the last two.

We hit several different areas, guides communicated pretty well. I do wish they would have pushed back when they asked what we wanted to target, and i told them sails, as conditions apparently weren’t good for that (according to locals i spoke to after the trip)

This Captain and crew are top notch. This was our third trip out with them in a week and we ended it with a bang. My wife and I both caught a sail fish, along with 5 Maui Maui, ending our day with a Wahoo. I would highly recommend booking with them if you come to Costa Rica and want an awesome fishing experience. I know that my wife and I most definitely will. Pura Vida!
