Port Canaveral, United States
- Background
- Fishing has been in my blood since I was a small child. It was most likely inherited from my American and French grandfathers, who were both avid fishermen. I grew up in Cape Canaveral near the port and my mother would take me fishing while my sisters were in school. We moved to south Cocoa Beach on the Banana River when I was seven years old. My passion and devotion to fishing grew while living in Cocoa Beach, where I spent many days exploring the back waters of the thousand islands. I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to fish many exotic locations around the world including Hawaii, where I lived for 12 years. In Hawaii, I had the opportunity to chase bonefish on the sand flats near Pearl Harbor and troll for blue marlin off of Kona . I have been back in central Florida since 2006 and enjoy fishing for the many different species of fish that swim in these inshore and nearshore waters. When not fishing, I work as a firefighter paramedic for Brevard County Fire Rescue.
- Techniques
- Light tackle fishing for redfish, snook, flounder, pompano, blackdrum, sheepshead, & tripletail. I also enjoy bottom fishing some of the wrecks offshore of Port Canaveral.
