Great day of fishing!  We were first timers so Dylan spent some time teaching, baiting rods and basically making sure everyone was doing what they should be.  We fished in several locations and everyone caught fish. For us, the 4 hour trip was enough, but depending on what types of fish you want to catch, I recommend inquiring on the best length of trip for what you want to catch.  Afterwards, Dylan filleted our catch ( red snapper) and we took them to a restaurant right there at the pier and they cooked them for us. Sooo good!
Also wanted to add a few comments about the boat itself. It has a bathroom and a large air conditioned area you can sit , cool off and get out of the sun. The boat is a little bigger than some of the others I was looking at when booking this trip. The water was a little rough at the start of our trip, so glad I went with this bigger boat and Captain TJ.

Captain TJ and Dylan were just the best !  We had such an incredible trip.  Captain TJ did an excellent job navigating and Dylan is a rockstar!  He did a stellar job ensuring that our lines were baited and helped us reel in our numerous catches.  I can’t imagine anyone doing a better job!  Also, captain TJ/ Dylan demonstrated the utmost professionalism and character.  In addition, the cabin was nicely air conditioned, clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this charter, our expectations were greatly exceeded and we are grateful for the fun memories !

We had the BEST time with Captain TJ and First-mate Tyler. We began the trip with a prayer, which was appreciated and awesome! We not only maxed-out with Red Snapper, but we were able to catch and release two sharks! What an experience we will never forget. They were professional and educational throughout the entire trip. Tyler made sure our lines were ready to go and continued to be attentive throughout fishing. After we maxed out Captain TJ made sure we saw dolphins on our way in to dock which was, “icing on the cake”. We WILL use them again and definitely recommend this Captain and First-Mate for anyone.

Captain TJ provided us with the most amazing fishing experience. Our family has been on several fishing trips, and we were absolutely blown away by this experience from beginning to end. The professionalism and hospitality were incredible, the fishing was unbelievable, and the memories will be with us for a lifetime. TJ was welcoming, knowledgeable, and led our trip beautifully. Tyler was so attentive, made sure we always had what we needed, and assured that we were continually having an exciting experience. We cannot say enough about how amazing our trip with TJ on the High Cotton was! The trip, the crew, and the experience cannot be beat!

We took the afternoon tour and had a great time.  We started with the pre-launch prayer, which we all appreciated.  Newbie tip - make sure you hear Capt. TJ’s instructions about the boat before jumping on it and going to the bathroom.  Another newbie tip - listen closely when Tyler is explaining things.  If you do, you will have more success than if you try and “figure it out”.  We started out getting some bait fish, which was fun.  We got to the point where we were catching 3 and 4 fish at a time.  Then we moved on to bigger fish like Bonita and Snapper and then on to some Amberjack and then we caught an 8’ long shark, 200+ pounds.  If you want you can keep the legal fish you catch and Tyler will clean them and bag them up for you.  Some of the restaurants in the area will cook them up for you as well.
