Charter was great. The crew was very knowledgeable of the area and we caught fish.

Don’t hesitate to fish with Roberto.  He had great and consistent communication prior to our trip and even coordinated transportation from our resort to him.  He was ready to go and well organized as soon as we arrived.  Roberto worked hard to find fish and keep the day moving.  He is an awesome teacher/coach but really wants US to have the experience (we were hands on the entire day).  Video was when we had two on at the same time—-sadly a shark took one—-How cool!  Take motion pills—-it’s choppy out there!

We took a 1/2 day trip with Roberto with myself, brother in-law, two boys (ages 12 and 15), and my sister in-law.  We had a blast!  It was a windy, choppy day but we all hung in there.  Roberto and his first mate (also Roberto) worked extremely hard to make sure we found some fish.  They were very patient with the boys, very knowledgeable about the area, and were constantly working hard to get some fish on the lines.  We ended up with 11 mahi mahi!  We tried jigging for some bigger amberjack and grouper, but didn’t have any luck.  But, overall, they were great to go out with for a true fishing experience.  Thanks to both Roberto 1 and Roberto 2!

Amazing day on the water jigging with Roberto.

Roberto is extremely knowledgeable and an expert when it comes to dropping jigs on the reefs in Mexico. We were able to jig up two almaco jacks, one amberjack and one mutton snapper. We were also reefed by a stubborn grouper on my trip, I couldn’t ask for more!

I was also lucky to also enough book a swordfish trip with Roberto while there. You can tell Roberto has a serious passion for deep dropping for swordfish, and his set up was the best of the best. Unfortunately we didn’t hook up to a swordfish, but nonetheless I still had a great day on the water. I have already told all my friends about booking with Roberto if they are in the area. Thanks Roberto, I’ll see you in the spring!

Capt Roberto delivers.  We had an excellent trip trolling for wahoo and spent the majority of the day sword fishing. 

As a fisherman myself, Capt Roberto is definitely one of the best.  He is more than willing to teach his method and techniques for sword fishing and he has a plethora of other stories about tuna, permit, marlin, etc. 

Well worth the trip to Cozumel/Playa del Carmen to go fishing with him.
