My brother, Dad and I all met in FL for a fishing trip that got cancelled last minute as we were booked for off shore and the weather was questionable.  Kevin let us book a near shore trip with him only hours before he picked us up at the dock for a great day of fishing.  We started on some near shore reefs which were not productive so Kevin quickly switched us over to trolling the beach for mackerel.  We hooked up with several keeper Spanish mackerel.  We then anchored near shore for silver trout and pretty much caught as many as we wanted to keep.  We also caught a 3’ lemon shark which was a real fun fight.  Thank you Kevin for letting us book so last minute and for giving us a real fun day of fishing.

We had a near shore trip booked, but weather didn’t cooperate. Kevin offered us a refund since we couldn’t do our original trip. We opted to go out anyway and fish in-shore. My boys, ages 7 and 9 had a blast. We caught a few ladyfish which are fun to catch.  We caught way too many catfish. But to kids used to catching small panfish in Michigan, they were excited! Kevin did everything he could to make sure some fish were caught. He is knowledgeable and also patient with my kids. I’m not sure he knew he would have so many random questions to answer this morning. We saw tons of dolphins too. If we ever get back down to Treasure Island or know anyone else who does, we would definitely recommend Catch On!

Captain Kevin asked what kind of fishing we wanted to do and quickly got us on a ton of fish. We caught grouper, triggerfish, mangrove snapper, white grunt, some lizard fish and even one puffer fish!  He always knew another spot to go if the fishing slowed and he always had another bait ready to go on the hook. (He had gone out at 4:30 that morning to catch a live well full of fresh bait for our charter).  This charter was everyone’s favorite activity on our vacation.  We got lucky when we found Captain Kevin.

Captain Kevin exceeded our expectations in every way. Great communication before, during and after the trip. He was very knowledgeable and extremely hard-working. He had us on fish the entire time. And he made sure that we enjoyed ourselves. The boat, rods and reels were the perfect setup for this type of trip. I highly recommend him.

Kevin was so attentive , knowledgeable, and kind.  Every time we weren’t catching fish he made several adjustments and was focused on us catching a lot and having fun! I would highly recommend. He is very in tune with the area and what is out there.
