We came late in the year and knew the weather was going to be questionable.  Morning was beautiful and it was easy trip out to the inlet.  Josh was phenomenal and very patient.  4 of us on the boat and 3 first time in alaska.  We brought home 7 halibut and 5 king salmon.  The wind and rain kept things interesting and bumpy-  I found muscles I didn’t know I had when I woke up the next morning.  Ha!  All in all it was fantastic and Josh did a wonderful job and made sure we found fish!!    Definitely go back out with him again!

Captain Josh was amazing. It was our first trip to Alaska and two of the four in our group was absolutely inexperienced, Captain Josh went out of his way to make us feel comfortable.  My parents are elderly and my dad struggled with mobility, Captain Josh was so accommodating and patient. All in all, we had an amazing trip and Captain Josh went out of his way to ensure we caught our limit for the day, we would absolutely recommend Big Butt Charters to anyone interested in doing a fishing charter, regardless of their experience!!!

Totally amazing experience! I’m an AK resident, hosting my two elderly parents going on their first fishing charter. Captain Josh was excellent and really made sure everyone had a great experience. I would say definitely book with Big Butts. 10/10. I wouldn’t use Fishingbooker though- it makes communication more difficult going through an app and no doubt the fishing guys lose a cut. Just call the charter directly.

Had a blast! Caught some rockfish and some Kings! Would definitely recommend!
