Capt. Troy and James are elite fishing guides. We got on first early, and the whole day was excellent. The boat is in great shape. The tackle was also great. They are also funny, friendly and kind guys. My 7 year old son had 10,000 questions and they were all answered thoughtfully. I am certain I would have had a blast with my buddies also. This is a great thing to have in a fishing crew. Certainly would love to go again with these dudes. You should go with them too.

My wife and I fished on Miller Time with Captain Troy on March 17th.  The trip exceeded our expectations.

We left at first light.  Captain Troy was great at going over safety precautions and outlining the day. He said getting live bait had been slow and it was but he added on time to our trip without us even asking.  We had a great day of fishing and caught several different species.  We went to the Islamorada hump and caught several Mahi mahi.  We limited on yellowtail snapper. 

The first mate James was very knowledgeable and had excellent tips on catching all the different species.  He was an excellent teacher and allowed you to do the fishing while being readily available at all times.

It was a great day of fishing and we are looking forward to going with Captain Troy on Miller Time again!

I’ve been on a few charters before and Captain Troy and First Mate James were great. It was the first time for my wife and 9 year old son and I wanted it to go well.  The head on the Miller Time worked (not always the case) and Captain and First Mate took my son under their wing.  After catching a huge almost 7 lb mangrove snapper (which we ate grilled and blackened later for dinner) we moved into shallower waters and my son caught dozens of yellow tails (which we threw back) and 2 nurse sharks, include one that had to be 200 lbs. The latter I helped but it was tough! Highly recommend Miller Time and Captain Troy and First Mate James.

The Fishing Gods were looking down on me the day I booked this fishing charter for me & my friends!  What an AMAZING experience!  Captain Troy and Gary were on point!  We caught a wide variety of fish including 4 HUGE Amberjack.  There’s nothing better than having an experienced Captain who knows where the fish are.  It’s a good thing we brought an extra-large cooler with us because we filled it up!  You would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t book the Miller Time Sportfishing charter the next time you’re in Islemorada!

The captain, Troy, and his mate, James were very involved and helped us catch as many fish as we could. We ended up with 34 yellowtail snappers and they are delicious. This was the second time we fished with Captain Troy and both times the trips were amazing! He is very adept at knowing where to find the fish. We had a blast except for the seasickness I ended up with.
