- Background
- I have been in customer service my whole life. waiter/bartender in college. I ran a pool service company for 10 years just for the love of water, you become part of peoples families and got to meet a lot of interesting people. I grew up on Galveston Bay fishing piers and wade fishing at the end of my street. It wasn't till I was invited on a guided fishing trip with a local guide Russell Grumbels did I see a full box of fish. Over the next 10 years I got to fish with Russell countless times until he retired. I learned a lot and stayed in touch. With a little push from friends and family I decide to go for it, I only wish I had done it earlier.
- Techniques
- I fish older techniques, I learned from a guide who's since retired. I prefer to fish with croakers, piggy perch, and shrimp for trout, depending on bait availability and what season it is. Fish swim and you have to find them, the day of secret spots are long gone. If you would like to fish lures I'll be glad do that. I do compete in various Pro tournaments that are artificial only but when it comes to fishing with clients families and kiddos I found bait fishing is more exciting. Nothing like watching that croaker get nervous and watching that line stretch, reel, reel, reel. The art of casting comes into play in this style of fishing, a rodsman like a swordsman. I have converted several lure fisherman to bait fisherman once they learned my technique which was taught to me. Most of the pictures I have displayed are first time fisherman, its my job to put you on the fish so you can experience a trip of a life time.
