- Background
- I grew up in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina on the Calibogue Sound where I developed my love for the inshore fishing world. My family owned a deep water lot with a dock, so it was very easy and accessible to be able to fish as a 5-year-old boy. At age 9, a two-seater kayak washed up onshore and paved the way to fish in creeks and some areas in the Calibogue Sound. Since then, I've loved being on the ocean and appreciating the wildlife around me. So much so that I have worked on vessels from Florida, South Carolina, and now Georgia. The experiences I had as a kid are something I want to share with others and I hope to teach both young and old what it was that got me hooked in the first place.
- Techniques
- I have a 21ft Tidewater bay boat which allows clients to have the option of skinny water light tackle fishing to nearshore fishing if the weather permits. I primarily focus more on the inshore light tackle fishing experience using popping corks with live or artificial baits, artificial, and bottom fishing live or dead baits. Species that we target are Redfish, Trout, Flounder, Sharks, Whiting, Bluefish. In the Fall, I like to target bull Redfish during the migration period.
