We had so much fun. The captain was so helpful and tried his best to find good spot for fishing. We had two chinook salmon and eight crabs for our dinner at the end of our trip. I recommend wearing layers in this season and have some snacks.

My dad and I booked a last minute charter with Reel Life and it was a very fast and easy booking. The charter itself was great, our captain was very sociable and knowledgeable, the boat was beautiful and solid. We went out for a half day in the morning and even though we didn’t land any legal fish (none of other boats around landed a single fish either), we had a blast!

I would absolutely recommend Reel Life to anyone wanting a fantastic charter experience and they’ll be my first go-to recommendation for Sooke fishing!

Captain Travis is super friendly and very knowledgeable. There were three of us and his boat was comfortable and well equipped. We had a great time fishing with him! Looking forward to next trip out with him!

This was an absolute amazing experience.Travis was super personable, informative and knowledgeable. All of his gear and boat was is great shape, the boat was very comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend this trip. Added bonus, the weather was fantastic and we caught some really nice fish.

The lower equipment rating is because the boat is older and not luxurious.  However, the fishing equipment is new and in good condition.  Travis loves fishing and knows a lot about it.  He made the trip enjoyable for even the non-fishers on the trip.  The only thing I’d do differently is stay in a place that has a kitchen so we could cook anything we keep.  ( His wife runs a short term rental place).
