We express a sincere “thank you” to Capt. Dan, the Waccamaw Emergency Rescue, and U.S. Coast Guard.  Unfortunately, our fishing excursion ended abruptly when a member of our fishing party fell ill.

We had just arrived at our second fishing spot, roughly 20 miles offshore, when a teammate became alarmingly sick, needing emergency medical assistance.  Without hesitation, Capt. Dan initiated radio contact with the U.S. Coast Guard alerting them of our teammate’s medical emergency and started our speedy return to the boat launch.  All the while, Capt. Dan remained in contact with the U.S. Coast Guard, constantly assessing our sick teammate, and updating them on their condition.  As we approached the boat ramp, we could see the emergency medical team on the dock waiting for our arrival and ready to take action.  The emergency medical team helped our teammate from the boat, onto the stretcher, and into the ambulance.

Capt. Dan was awesome throughout the entire trip. He realized our emergency, took command of the situation, and immediately got help.  Although our fishing trip was shortened by our emergency, it was obvious Capt. Dan was extremely knowledgeable with local fishing waters.  He was fully prepared for our trip and demonstrated sincere enthusiasm during our expedition. Furthermore, he answered all of our fishing and boating questions.  We are already planning our next year’s family vacation, which includes another fishing excursion with Capt. Dan. 

By the way, our teammate was released from the hospital that day. His diagnosis was extreme vertigo.  Afterwords, Capt. Dan even followed up with us to check on our teammate’s well being.  Thank you and choose Capt. Dan the man!

We had a party of six and were fortunate to get a beautiful day with calm seas.  Captain Dan (CD) was hard at work prepping the boat when we met him at the appointed time.  We were soon at the ramp and it was apparent CD had a good report with the other charter skippers. 

Started off a little slow, but by 9:30 CD was well into his third Romeo & Juliet cigar and we were into King Mackerel.  We ended up six for six, with each of us on a hook up.  CD was doing the job of three people to make sure we landed the fish, other lines were in and the boat stayed on course.

CD made the trip fun, safe and successful for all.  Would definitely use him again.

Captain dan was great he had so much knowledge about everything and was a blast to be around. Highly recommended

Really amazing trip the captain put us on fish and was really helpful friendly and took great care of us.

Rough day of fishing but Captain Wayne threw everything he had at it. Caught some good bottom fish for the kiddos. They all LOVED it.
