Member since December 2021
Chester, United States
- Background
- Captain Trent grew up on the Chesapeake Bay and has an extreme love for the water. Prior to getting his USCG 50-ton master's license, he was a contractor for the Navy doing heavy marine construction throughout the US and the world. He also did marine construction throughout the Chesapeake Bay. About 5 years ago, Captain Trent left the corporate world as a Project Manager to become a mate on a fishing charter and never looked back. He's now a fishing and hunting guide and has the best office views ever. Sharing and teaching people about the beauty and bounty of the Chesapeake Bay is Captain Trent's passion. They say that if you enjoy what you do, you'll never work a day in your life.
- Techniques
- Captain Trent prefers light tackle and bait fishing. The time of the year will decide what species he targets. When chasing Rockfish, he stops once he reaches the limit for the boat. There's no catch and release after that as he doesn't want to risk killing or harming the fish. The captain also targets invasive species such as Blue Catfish and Snakehead in an effort to mitigate the impact that they have on the Chesapeake and its tributaries.
