It was a gorgeous day for fishing! In addition to pulling in some Jacks, we took a break so we could snorkel, and there were so many beautiful fish virtually right there in front of your eyes. Loved how the captain catered to the kids, finding a sea turtle, a giant manta ray, and a huge school of little manta rays that he got us near so we could see them. He and his crew member worked so hard all day to give us the best experience, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Highly recommend booking with them!

Gabriel worked hard to put us on the fish. We went out with a plan based on what WE wanted to catch and how WE wanted to fish. Gabriel has an amazing ability to read the ocean, I have never fished with someone who can see life on and in the ocean like him. He was then flexible to adjust to what was biting to put us on the action. Gabriel was a great communicator and a wealth of knowledge on the bay, surrounding areas, and the ocean. With our prior experience fishing in PV, the captains would do what they wanted even when told we were not interested in certain types of fishing. These charters were more excited about catching Spanish Mackeral, deep dropping,  and making ceviche even after being told this was not what we wanted. We got all we wanted from our trip with Gabriel and will be scheduling with him again next week and coming back in the fall/winter for a fishing vacation with him.

Hector and Issac are young, but they knew exactly what they were doing. We caught 5 skipjack. Everyone got to reel one in. They were so fast at filleting the fish, I missed it! They told us a restaurant that would cook it for us right by the pier. For $250 pesos they seasoned it and grilled it with rice and veggies. It was so fresh and amazing! It was a beautiful 4 hours ride, and the boys answered all the questions we had. You can’t go wrong booking with this crew. November is the best time to catch everything, but the skipjack were biting well in December and are a good, darker fish. Happy fishing!

They were there waiting for us when we arrived a little early. It was early in the morning and the Uber dropped us on in a neighborhood that was a little creepy that time of day so glad they were there waiting for us. The captain sent us out with his son and friend who were friendly and informative. The boat and equipment was nice, clean and safe. It was a slow morning but as you know “fishing is fishing”. He explained that the bay we were fishing in has been overfished for many years and so there are less fish and usually smaller in size. Since we chose a half day that is the only fishing area close enough to reach and have time to fish. We were 3 1/2 hours into our trip when we landed a very large mahi mahi and he was helpful and enthusiastic on how to get him reeled in. He got him in the boat and took care of the fish for us.

Another great day on the water with Gabriel and his crew.  Caught two super-sized jack crevalle in the morning and then fished and did sightseeing for rest of the day.  My son and his girlfriend had a great time and were able to reel in two monster fish.  Tres Estrellas does not disappoint.  Great for hard-core fisherman or the entire family!
