My friend and I booked the 4 hour trip with Captain John and we were both very pleased with our experience.  Captain John and Dave were a great crew, they were very personable and took great care of us for the entire trip.  I was 100% confident in their abilities and knew that they were working hard for us the whole time we were in their care.  Captain John’s boat is beautiful, clean, well appointed and very comfortable.  The fishing gear was all top notch and in excellent condition.  I would hire Skillet Sportfishing again and I would highly recommend them for your next fishing trip.

We really enjoyed our day with Captain John and his right-hand-man Dave. While we didn’t catch anything (our boat day followed 2 days of high surf/high winds and no one was catching fish), we still enjoyed our day. They caught small mackerel at sunrise to use for bait - that was fun to watch. And then they set out the poles for prime time. We trolled for about 3 hours but no activity, unfortunately.
John and Dave were experienced, skilled and informative. We all enjoyed chatting with them, and I would love to book with them again on a future trip.
The boat was clean and well equipped for fishing. They had a cooler of ice for beverages, a nice bathroom and plenty of seating for six of us.

Our family scheduled with Skillet fishing and we made the right choice!  John was easy to contact, made quick responses, and even let us know he was back early and we could head over to the marina a little earlier than our scheduled time! 

He greeted us and gave us a few quick safety guidelines. Dave, his first mate, was also amazing at explaining all the equipment and how to have a wonderful and safe four hours.  The boat is clean and comfortable.

John and Dave were easy to talk with and gave us fun stories and great advice for other things on the island we might enjoy. 

OK. We didn’t catch dinner.  However, we would choose Skillet every time, hands down!  Such an enjoyable afternoon! 

Totally satisfied. Captain Dan and the crew Dave and TJ were all fun to be with. They worked hard all day to get us hooked up with fish. But in addition to that they were all pleasant, respectful, and just a lot of fun. We could have gone all day without a bite and it would have been a great day. But, we did catch a 15 or 20 pound Mahia and we hooked up with a 300 pound blue Marlin which is what we were targeting. It threw the hook but was awesome to watch while we had it in on. Anyway you will not be disappointed with booking the Skillet and Crew.
PS for you ladies. The bathroom was the cleanest bathroom I have ever seen on a boat. It was spotless. My wife and my son’s girlfriend really appreciate that.

Captain John and firstmate Dave were absolutely fantastic. Incredibly knowledgeable on the location, boat, and equipment! The boat was very stable in rough conditions and the gear was top notch. While the weather didn’t cooperate on our charter, Captain John worked through the rough sea conditions, putting us on some fish, before we had to call off the charter. Highly recommend Skillet Fishing for those looking to get out on the water with an incredible team. We couldn’t have been more happier with our experience!
