- My name is Dilan Mileta, I was born in 1996 in Rijeka. I started fishing with my father Ivan, who conveyed his love and passion for the sea and fishing to me when I was a child. After few years of recreational fishing, I started competitive fishing in 2008, and have achieved many things so far. In 2009 I joined the Croatian sportfishing national team and went to Egypt on my first world Championship in surf casting, where me and my team won our first gold medal. From 2009 to 2017 I won 10 world championship medals, of which 3 individual and 14 national medals (Bottom Fishing boat angling and surf casting). Then in 2017, I enrolled in a sports school in Rijeka and became a licensed trainer in sport fishing. In 2020, I was selected as the coach of the Croatian national team in Bottom Fishing, boat angling U-21. And in 2021, at the World Championship in Slovenia, the Croatian representation with me as a trainer, won 2 gold medals team and individual. And I'm sure there's more to come.
- Techniques
- My favorite techniques are Bottom fishing and big game fishing . But my obsession right now is definitely tuna fishing. We offer drifting/chumming, spinning, jigging, and trolling for Bluefin Tuna. The most common method during summer and fall is drifting.
