My recommendation is to fish in the spring while water temperatures are cool. High water temperature encountered during the summer months greatly increases mortality rate of fish that are released. For this reason, during summer, in order to protect the high quality of striped bass fishing, persons are limited to limit of two fish.

Very simple suggestion to any anglers Fishing in Rutledge in March. Seek out striper slayers and look specifically for Fred and Brandon. Great guys.

The fish were in a pre-spawn mode so the bite was in the morning or in the afternoon middle of the day was dead. The captain even said that you could fish at night and they were getting good results.
