What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Freeport, Texas for the first time?

Weather was perfect, not as humid not salty as expected. We stayed in Surfside at a great rental and ate at Seahorse Bar & Grill. Rental was fabulous and grill was also very good - right on the beach. Great time in Freeport.

There is no doubt....book tour trip with Captains Derwyn and Marshall Booker, Texas Deep Sea Fishing. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. They are the most knowledgeable, experienced as well as extremely warm and personable. They will do everything possible to make your trip successful, memorable and enjoyable

Have someone who knows what they are doing. We had no clue on what it all took to shark fishing on land. It was an amazing trip.

Be ready for a very experienced, knowledgeable Captain that can put you on the fish and make your trip exciting.

8 miles out the water is very clear and it is very relaxing. The drop method of fishing is very fun.

Keep an open mind and listen to your captain. I wanted to catch a variety of fish because I was bringing 1st timers. Weather changes and fish migrate. We still got reel time.

Sounds like March is a bit in between seasons for fishing. Have reasonable expectations and you’ll still have a great trip.

We went out after the hurricane not many fish but we still had a great trip the captain and crew made the trip very fun and worked hard for us amazing job trying

Set in the back of the boat, take plenty of water to drink and don't forget your $2 for the toll road.

If you're fishing in the summer time, stay hydrated! Otherwise, it's a great time of year for some outstanding fishing!

We didn't get the snapper we were looking for, but the King more than made up for it with a good bite. We were hooked up in less than 5 minutes.

Lots of sunscreens and water. Plus it is great lif you could do some....warmup cuz the fishes are big and heavy

It’s spring when I went, weather is never predictable and neither is fishing! Water was a little choppy on the way out. Fishing with the dolphins playing was a neat experience.
