What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Carrabelle, Florida for the first time?

Make sure boat has proper electronica equipment, depth finder and fishfinder. Make it clear ahead of time what type of fishing bait you want to use Make sure Katherine gets ahead of time if necessary

Bring a lightweight jacket and pick a good captain. Season isn’t open to many types of fish. We had to throw many back that was out of season. Mangroves we’re plentiful. Couple red grouper.

Excellent fishing out of Carrabelle at this time if you are looking for red snapper and/or gag grouper.

If you're fishing in Carrabelle in June, plan for hot sunny days. Be sure to pack plenty of water to rehydrate and lots of sunscreen.

If it's your first time definitely go with Gritwater Outfitters. They are so helpful if you don't know exactly what you are doing.

Get a guide who knows the area as there are a lot of different locations to fish.

Hydrate for several days before your trip. Enjoy the many varieties of fish available.
