What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Kissimmee, Florida for the first time?

Don't come with the expectation of catching a monster. You may get lucky but quantity is just as good as quality IMO. May want to consider March for a bass trip in Kissimmee area as this is apparently the spawn season and a shiner drifting over their bed is irresistible. Even a bad day of fishing beats a day at work. ?

Take a lot of shiners, it is a live bait lake. Have fun. Some times Mother Nature changes your plans, but a bad day on a lake is still better than any day at work. (Note) This is the first trip my captain took that he only boated 3 fish.

Contact a guide that knows the Lakes and how to fish for them. This is especially true if you have children that have not had much fishing experience. Really, Captain Jai made it a wonderful trip for my wife and I as well. There is nothing like going to a new area and catching large bass steady for 4 hours.

We were told by our captain the bass was not eatable too much Murcury . As a Kissimmee resident this is the first time I hea this from a fishing guide. If you just want to fish that’s what you will do , no keepers!

Hir Steve Neiomoeller as your guide. Best guise in central florida and Indiana. You wont say, "man I wish i didn't catch this many fish". You'll wish you had another pair of hands to give yours a rest from reeling.

Lake Togo is a well managed lake. The bass were very healthy and the population Is excellent. Even on a very Hot September day without any wind we caught plenty of fish. Watching the eagles and ospreys was fun and encouraging. And all this right here in the Orlando metro.

Get a guide who enjoys what he is doing, has the knowledge of the lake as well as knowing the fish. Having a guide/Captain with a pleasant personality is probably the most important. We were lucky to have one with all of the above

If you have kids the 2 hour trip was perfect. Go early morning as was suggested by the Captain...less hot and we were able to catch a fish less then 5 minutes from anchoring.

Just jump on boat for a quick easy trip! You will enjoy seeing the bass blow up on the live shiners!!!!!!!!!

Good area with a couple of nice lakes loaded with fish and super close to theme parks etc if doing a family trip

Lake Toho is a real experience. The fish are hungry and the captain knew where to go. Had a great time.

If you are looking to catch largemouth bass, look for Captain Dave of David Paycheck fishing charters. He is an amazing captain and very knowledgeable about the fish.

Be prepared to catch a lot of fish, the water was 90 degrees and the fish are biting, easy access and beautiful lake

Bring rain gear due to there always being a chance of showers in Florida in the summer evening hours, hats and proper clothing and or sunscreen

Make sure you reserve live Golden Shiners. You will be expected to pay your captain I don’t know if it’s possible to pay for bait in advance.

It was cold on the water in the morning so I wouldn’t recommend going out if it’s less than 15° in the morning

Dress for the more than cool weather. Be in the company of a local fisherman who knows the the lake.

It was our first time and the water was calm, a little cool in the morning, but it warmed up nicely so dress in layers. No long boat ride to get on fish which was really nice.

Use Captain A j for sure. Wonderful fishing trip. The best fishing experience we have ever had. Beyond exceptions and wil return again for sure.

The fishing was very, but the bass aren’t as aggressive in the summer. The captains all tell me November- April are the best times.

Yes Absolutely for the fish were kind of slow because of the weather. Hampton was awesome fish were slow

You do want to spend the extra money to purchase the shiners. Can make a difference from a good trip to a excalent trip.
