What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Naples, Florida for the first time?

The weather and water conditions play a big role in a fishing experience. You never know what fish will be biting. The nice thing that Captain Jason has done is to find alternatives for the fishing experience. Since the common fish were not biting and we were catching catfish, he had us focus on catching sharks. Now this was totally unexpected….and fun!

Our fishing trip was in 35' of water, yet we booked a deep sea excursion. The names of the fishing companies was confusing from our booking. "All In Fishing” was the name on the shirts they wore, but the boat was A & B, and the confirmation messages were from" Fishing Boomker".

Our trip was not specifically for fishing, more for a combination of shelling, fishing and bird/dolphin watching. We only caught a couple of fish, but we did not fish very long so were pleased with what we caught.

Id recommend Capt Marc. The day we went out, two of the people were inexperienced in fishing. Capt Marc not only showed them how to cast and techniques for fishing, he worked hard to make sure they had a super day…. And he was successful in every way!!!

The two times I fished offshore near Naples have been nonstop action and numerous species. Each time we saw dolphins, enormous sea turtles, sharks and more. It’s a great place to fish with kids or the whole family.

Definitely go with a guide. I am an avid fisherman in the upper Midwest but i learned a lot from the Captain about bait selection, rigging, techniques, and tides, that i wouldn't have know how to navigate on my own. It is an investment but pays off dividends with knowledge you receive.

We did not do a real fishing trip, but should have so its hard to grade the fishing in Naples, but on a real fishing trip I'm sure it is good, because we saw photos of good fishing in the brochure.....

Early March is still "winter" in Naples. Cold front came through and we had North and Northwest winds which caused dirty water on the inbound tide in the Bays. 3rd week of March on becomes more consistent as the "summer" season begins.

Choose a vessel and trip length appropriate for your angling skills and experience, endurance, affordability, and time available. Don't expect big game on a half day trip on a big boat, and conversely don't expect comfort on a small but fast open fisherman. Most importantly, talk to your captain....tell him or her what you expect, and they'll tell you what experience they can provide.

Find a reputable & experienced company to charter your trip. Don’t set your expectations too high, fish are unpredictable. Book a full day trip, this will get you further out in the ocean where the bigger fish are at.

We did not catch anything sensational, but the experience was well worth it! We would definitely book again, but this time call Captain Mark directly to inquire about tide and best time/day to fish!

Yes this is a great family vacation highlight! My kids have not stopped talking about how much fun they had! The clean and bagged the fish we caught and recommended a great restaurant close by that would cook our catch!!!

While the fish tend to gather near mangrove roots, you may want to practice your casting in open waters to get a better sense of how far your line will travel. It is relatively easy to overcast and snag your hook and line on the mangrove roots and have to put on a new hook when you break the line to get untangled. Also, bring someone that really enjoys fishing along with you.

First time trip was great! Captain answered a million questions from us and hooked us up throughout the day!

Jason is a great Captain for an outing with inexperienced fishermen. He is helpful, patient, and very knowledgeable.

Be patient and listen to the advice your captain has to say even if your an experienced angler there is something always to learn especially locations and conditions during the times your out.

Schedule a trip on the water. It is a great time. Family fun. Make sure to apply sunscreen. Listen to the captain.

Yes - find the right captain who has experience with family outings and it will be a blast.

Be prepared with sunscreen during the day and with light jackets for the evening

Time of year is important. Spring time may not be the best time of the year for targeted species

Water was cool because of lower temps and it was windy, but we still had a great time and caught plenty of fish!

Smokin Hooks kept us on a variety of fish all morning. Filleted the fish, put em on ice and had them cook ready when we left.

Absolutely! Calm waters, abundant wildlife (manatees, dolphins, ospreys) and plenty of fish species to catch regardless of tide

We could have stayed and kept fishing for grouper but the boy and I wanted a chance for the "big" one. Even the bait fish were a blast to catch.

It was a little choppy out so if you get sea sick and it’s a windy day then bring some medicine but it was a lot of fun.

You’ll always catch something off of Naples but trophy fish are going to be easier to catch inshore during the colder months.

I July it’s hit or miss on the weather been coming down for the last 20 years this year was very hot but better than rain. My family still had a great time

Try this guy he was very good about putting on u on fish and very knowledgeable. We caught tons of sharks.

Find out what is in season before you go and see if it is worth it. We had fun but the big ones we caught were not in season.
