What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Campbell River, British Columbia for the first time?

Keep your expectations low. Campbell River is a mecca of salmon fishing but some days can be real slow which might force you to change area, lures or species to fish to get some action. But others days you just can't keep up with the bites.

Don't expect a large amount of hits by Salmon, other species are more than willing to take the hook.

Absolutely. Our fishing was exceptional for this time of the year. Given that the salmon are not migrating at this time, fishing tactics were modified to target the fish in the area.
