Guanacaste Fishing Report

Feb. is not the best fishing month. Never the less we caught 3 nice mahi mahi .But just as exciting for the women aboard were the hundreds of dolphins & jumping stingrays , with many turtles & flying fish. All in all it was a great time.

Just go with the flow. They know what they are doing.

Choose what you want to catch. Fishing is different for the species targeted.

No frills, your out there to fish. Must take camera that takes videos or take a go pro.

Bring a hard sided cooler so you can get your catch home. They fillet it right in the boat.

Use the Estrella, great boat and crew !!!

Book with seastar all the guys are very professional and absolutely great friendly people who went above and beyond to please us with not just the fishing but catering and great conversation . I shall be booking with these guys next year as they made me want to visit Costa Rica again as soon as I can

February fishing is not one of the best fishing months of the year. However, we were in Playa Flamingo for 11 days and went on 3 fishing trips and had really great luck for all 3. February for us turned out great! We brought our own surf poles, but had no luck. I recommend fishing with a local guide.
