Fresh San Carlos Fishing Reports

3/4 day trip gave our customers a good day of fishing and beautiful scenery. Totals: 6 yellowtail, 10+ calico bass. Looking forward to seeing our customers come back in May.

Day started with a beautifull sunrise, but fishing was tough. Crew was able to bring 2 decent sized yellowtails trolling the rapalas. After a couple of hours trying different techniques, that spot had given us all it had. We moved north closer to San Pedro Nolasco island and boy were we in for a treat. Birds were going crazy everywhere. Made a couple of passes trolling the plugs and caught a couple more. Started deep dropping knife jigs and Yoyo irons and the action was crazy catching yellowtail every other drop. A couple of calicos and a hefty red snapper were caught bouncing the jigs off the bottom. Over all great day of fishing. Not a lot of billfish, but it is a great year for dorado!

we are having a great dorado ( mahi mahi ) year !!! probably better than the last 15 years. Hoping it will stay that way for the whole summer. Deep jigging has been producing some nice grouper and this week some yellowtail showed up to hit our jigs!

The best of our yellowtail season is right around the corner, bigger fishing taking jigs and poppers now! 6-8 weeks left for the best yellowtail fishing San Carlos has to offer. Come fish with us!
