Hey anglers, I just love this time of year. Cooler weather, holidays, and of course fall fishing! It's been an absolute blast on the water this last month. Trout are in full force on the flats and nothing beats watching those popping corks dunk under the water. My go to bait all month has been C & M Custom Baits Granny Smith paddle tails. (You can find his shop on etsy) 3-5 feet has been a good mine for me on most of the flats I've been drifting. Reds and snook are staged up on the keys around most of the structure and a knocker rig with your cut bait of choice should get the job done. Look for bait in the area and feeding birds aren't a bad sign either. I use a 5/0- 6/0 circle hook usually paired with atleast 1/2 once egg weight and I've had the best luck on cut mullet and ladyfish. Well y'all I hope this helps everyone out. Jen and her husband Josh joined me for a fun day of fishing. Josh was sure to let me know that they were bad luck when it came to inshore. Well, I believed them becauce when we started our trip it was easily blowing 20 outta the NE. But pretty soon, i lost faith in their bad luck. 5 minutes into soaking some cut mullet Jen was hooked up on her very first redfish, and what a redfish it was!! 34"!! Which now holds the family record. After that we went on to catch several more reds during our 6 hour trip. So needless to say, we have broke their inshore bad luck. **hidden content** **hidden content**

Went out on a incoming tide and started throwing around some Oyster beds and the fish fired up for us. It was a gret day.

Such a great experience having this tour with Captain Jayson . We really learned so much about all the keys along with the history of Cedar Key. Learned about the fish, birds and other wildlife in the area. Saw dolphin and many birds and fish. Highly recommend this type of tour with Capt. Jayson.

Hot and rainy sums up this area in August. We had to wait a few hours until a storm passed for it to be safe to go out on the water. Bring shade, sunscreen and hydradtion.
