**September Snapper, Triggerfish, and Ye
Septiembre 6, 2023
*Date: September 6, 2023* **Overview:** September brings promising opportunities for anglers targeting snapper, triggerfish, and yellowtail snapper in various regions. These species are known for their delicious flavor and challenging fights. Here's a detailed report on what to expect this month: **Snapper Fishing:** 1. **Red Snapper:** Red snapper season may still be open in some areas during September. Check local regulations, as seasons vary by location. Red snapper typically inhabit rocky reefs and structures, so use bottom rigs with live or cut bait for best results. 2. **Mangrove Snapper:** Mangrove snapper are active and widely available during September. They can be found around bridges, jetties, and other structures. Live shrimp, pilchards, or small pinfish make excellent bait choices. **Triggerfish Fishing:** 1. **Gray Triggerfish:** Gray triggerfish are prevalent in September and are often found around wrecks, reefs, and ledges. Use small hooks with shrimp, squid, or cut bait close to the bottom. Be prepared for a strong fight when you hook into one. **Yellowtail Snapper Fishing:** 1. **Yellowtail Snapper:** September is an excellent time for yellowtail snapper fishing, especially in warmer regions. These fish are often found in shallow reef areas. Chumming can be highly effective for attracting them. Use small hooks with small pieces of shrimp or baitfish for bait. **Tips for September Fishing:** - Pay attention to local regulations and size limits for snapper, triggerfish, and yellowtail snapper. - Use light tackle for yellowtail snapper, as they can be finicky eaters. - Consider fishing during slack tide periods for better success. - Yellowtail snapper tend to be more active during dawn and dusk, so plan your trips accordingly. September provides a great opportunity to target these three sought-after species. Remember that fishing conditions can vary depending on your location, so consult local reports and consider hiring a local guide for specific insights into the best spots and techniques. Enjoy the thrill of the catch and the delicious rewards that come with it! Tight lines and successful fishing adventures!

Fall Deep Sea Fishing Report
Fall Deep Sea Fishing Report
Julio 2, 2023
Here in south Florida, as we anticipate the arrival of our first significant cold front, we have already seen effects of cooler weather. Schools of Mullet fill the canals and with the bait fish moving into our area, so do bigger fish. These days, it is not unusual to see a Sailfish or two while we troll for other species. One of our most sought-after game fish, these sightings and bites will become more frequent. Dragging live Ballyhoo or Bonito bullets can also be very productive. If this is one of your “bucket List” fish, now is an excellent time to come try your luck. Kingfish have been biting well in the reef area. The Bonitos have reduced their numbers giving us a chance at a few kings now. October and early November is also an excellent time of year for Blackfin Tuna and Wahoo. You just never know what will strike when trolling the area with rigged dead baits. Mahi-mahi have also been making appearances. The small ones released just a few months ago are now “keepers”. And as time goes on, the larger fish will be showing up. With the baitfish running close to shore, there is no reason to venture to deeper waters or further from shore. They will be found in close, sometimes less than a mile from shore. On the days that conditions do not give great trolling results; the bottom has been active with snapper and grouper. Our wrecks and reefs have been producing some great fish as of late. And most are great table fare if you are looking for something to eat. With the fish on the move, any day can be the day that fish of a lifetime shows up. Exciting, good eating, biggest ever in your life, it can all happen right now. Come join us, won’t you? Capt. David

Winter Fishing Report
Winter Fishing Report
Diciembre 12, 2022
Winter Fishing Report While much of the country is experiencing colder temperatures, we here in south Florida are enjoying warm, balmy temperatures. When you live in Florida, you look forward to some cooler days and that cool air helps drive the fish down our coast. Our first true cold front is due in just a few days. Winter fishing is always looked forward to. Many switch from trolling to using live bait to attract some of the bigger game fish. Sailfish are usually predominant in December and January. Fishing with kites is just one way to attract these acrobatic fish to the bait and once hooked, they are a blast to fight and catch. While kite fishing doesn’t have you covering a large area of water, it does more to entice fish to seek your baits. Anything and everything can and will **hidden content** bait. And the best part of fishing this time of year is the fish are usually larger than what we catch in the summer months. Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo, Kingfish and sharks are also drawn to the spread of bait, so you are not limited to what you might catch. But other methods are also used should fishing be somewhat slow. Deep wrecks and reefs can provide some great fishing action. Amberjacks, Cobia, Grouper and Snapper all can be had. Even Barracuda will strike in these areas and can make for some excellent action. No matter the targeted species, winter time fishing can be very exciting. We at Lady Pamela 2 fishing would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year. Hope to see you soon.

Fall Deep Sea Fishing
Fall Deep Sea Fishing
Septiembre 24, 2021
While some of you up north are already feeling cooler temperatures, here in south Florida we relish the coming weeks. It might not seem like much but there is a big difference between low 90’s and mid to high 80’s. With the days becoming shorter the ocean waters will also see the temperatures drop. And that begins our fall fishing. As the water cools, small bait fish begin their travel south for the warmer water. Mullet are the most predominant easily seen from the beach or in the canals. Huge schools traveling south and behind them come the fish following the food. Our fishing trend changes from the summer pattern of Kings and Bonito to more of the pelagic type fish. Sailfish become a daily occurrence while trolling as do Tuna and some Mahi. October is usually one of the better months for Wahoo. And all these fish can be had just a few miles from shore here in Fort Lauderdale. This is also a time of year we start switching from trolling to fishing with live bait. While we do and can troll year-round, with cooler water, the surface waters are more conducive to presenting live bait either from the riggers or the kite. Kite fishing has always been a favorite because you often get to see what’s biting your line. Sailfish, Mahi or sharks can easily be seen. Wahoo, Tuna and King are usually too quick, and a splash is all you will get. If you are planning a trip to Fort Lauderdale or Hollywood Beach, consider fishing while you are here. It should be good and you never know… You might just catch that fish of a lifetime. Reservations can be made right on our website. For additional information give us a call or fill out on of our email requests for info.

Fishing is Hot!
Fishing is Hot!
Agosto 22, 2021
The fishing IS hot. So is the weather… But the warm temperatures have not slowed the fishing down. The action has been very good with a surprise out of the blue… Blue Marlin that is, but I’ll get to that in a moment. Just a mile from shore the Bonito (Little Tunny) have been biting well offering us plenty of action. While not great table fare, they fight hard as they are a false Tuna. Often, multiple fish on at the same time. This gets everyone involved and all have a chance to bend the rod. Mixed in with the Bonito are Kingfish and some Blackfin Tuna. Now we are into edible fish. The smaller Kings are good when fresh. The Blackfin Tune is sushi grade so you can’t go wrong. When we say a fresh fish dinner? It’s doesn’t get any better or fresher than that! Mahi- mahi fishing, further from shore, has been inconsistent. The longer the trip, the better chance of success. The fish we have been catching have been legal to keep so that’s a bonus. Usually this time of year, lots of throw backs are what we’re catching. Wahoo have been scarce but should be more predominant soon. September/ October are good months for these. Every once in a while you run into something you don’t expect. This is where opportunity meets preparedness, as was the case the other day with Jimmy, Dan and their group of anglers. While searching for Mahi out in the deep blue, a Blue Marlin decided to eat one of the baits. The fight was on! And it shouldn’t have lasted long but did. We prefer catching these magnificent Gamefish on tackle suited for them. The TLD 30 with 30# test is not the rod you want this bite on. And a fight that lasts over 3 hours on that kind of tackle has you sweating at each run he makes. But when all is said and done? The release at the boat makes it all worthwhile. And the traditional swim after catching your first Blue was honored by Dan, his first one. As I said, it’s been hot so the push into the water was welcome. Not so much in January… Hope to see you soon. Capt. Steve Lady Pamela 2 Fishing **hidden content** **hidden content**

While fishing on a relatively smaller boat, you need to have good sea legs and good balance. That said, Joshua always head the boat in a practical way to minimize the actions of the waves.

Expect the experience of ocean fishing and understand not every trip is going to catch fish. But the chance to catch fish is the most important!

Book a full day trip to be able to get offshore and into some meat species. Our half day trip for my three sons and I was fine but if we wanted to get into heavier fishing we would have needed more time.

Remember to bring a motion sickness bracelet for anyone who has never been on a boat before , my son did get sick but didn't throw up, so next time we go on the boat we will be prepared for that. Other than that the trip was amazing and I would recommend it to everyone to try it.

If you are uncertain as to if you or your guest will get seasick, I strongly suggest you get a prescription strength patch and put it on the night before. We had a great time in the beginning but within the first hour after getting out to fish, three of the 4 kids were throwing up. The first mate was fantastic and the captain was also amazing. Great boat, great people and a goodtime despite the fact we had to come in early due to the kids getting seasick.
