Fresh Great Lakes Fishing Reports

Had a crew from wisconsin call at the last minute today for an evening run out on the big pond, and they weren't disappointed at all. They've been running the Detroit river doing the jig thing with varying results so they decided to hit the islands while they were at it and rather than launch their own boat they hitched a ride with us. These guys are experienced in running the #offshoretackle boards (which made my day), setting lines, and everything in-between. We had an absolute awsome evening bite. With multiple fish between 24"-27". Best program was 20/30 and 20/20 2oz white based lures. Awsome times running with these guys!!!!

Lake surface temperature 48°F. Winds light out of the West. All of the Niagara bar is covered from mud that is being pushed through the river for the past few days. On the West side of the Niagara bar, there was a small stretch of blue water. About 500 yd long or so we were able to troll inside the mudline and 18 to 22 feet of water with. Kwik fish on 3 ways or stickbates.Lakers coho's chinooks and brown trout were caught.This was a 2 boat trip.Mud was definitely a contributing factor to a poor bite.Fish were breaching and eating baitfish all over the place

Had a group come up from Tennessee and climb aboard for some lake erie walleye. The winds were consistently blowing 25knots with some 30knot gusts plowing through the area. We tried staying tight to shore to stay out of the wind and waves, but it was just to much to maintain speed down low. We still managed to pull a nice box of fish with some 5 and 6lb pound fish to head back to the dinner table in Tennessee. Windy n ruff but the time spent with these guys on erie was absolutley awsome!!

The day began with somewhat fishable water. But as time went on, the river just got dirtier and dirtier. The only thing that took fish was pulling plugs in as bright of a color i could find.Southwind at over 30 miles an hour is basically what we used to move the boat just faster than the current. We worked hard for every fish. Best is yet to come with more favorable weather this week. River temperature was 43.6

The walleye have finished up the spawn and are feeding we had 25 in sizes from 20in all the way up to a monster at 32in all casting it was Awesome!
