Our trip was not specifically for fishing, more for a combination of shelling, fishing and bird/dolphin watching. We only caught a couple of fish, but we did not fish very long so were pleased with what we caught.

Bring a jacket and sunscreen. Florida weather can be unpredictable during winter. Make sure you have something if you are prone to seasickness it will make or break your trip.

Wether it's your first boat ride, or even if you are an experienced angler - Capt Chad Kraft is the way to go!! He knows the Bay area like the back of his hand, and where to find the fish! Highly recommend his fishing guide services for anyone!

In November, wear jeans and a shirt and a hoodie. If you have a water repellent jacket, that will be perfect.

The water was choppy and the wind was cold but that is November. We went in the morning. The sun came out later in the day and it warmed up nicely.

It was a little chilly and threatening rain, I suspect there are better times to be out on the water, but this happened to be the time we were in the area on vacation. No regrets!

If you want to make sure you get fish, book with a charter boat that take multiple people and has a variety of hours to go out. Check the ratings and read the reviews.

Excellent opportunity to catch fish in early fall. Temps are pleasant and any day on the water is better than a lot of other things you could be doing.

If you have children on the trip, bottom fishing for snapper and grouper ( in season) is the way to go, especially if kids are new to fishing.

The wind was a bit rough, so we couldn't go offshore like we originally wanted, but inshore was a hit. The ride home across the bay was a little bumpy but my boys loved the adventure and water in their faces.
